What are your St. Patrick's Day Plans?

After my big date last night (haha) I painted my nails with a cool thermal green nail polish and am going to have a green juice and go to a spin class.  I kinda feel like a loser for that lol.  Tell me you guys are doing something more exciting!

Re: What are your St. Patrick's Day Plans?

  • Love them! In the second pic, it looks like they go from light to dark - is that just the pic? Amazing either way!

I'm totally boring. I forgot it was St. Patty's Day. I have zero green on and I have no plans. I'm not generally super into this holiday though, so I'm not sad about it.

  • The nail polish changes color with the temperature of my hands @southernbelle0915 so that was when I went outside and my hands started getting colder

  • I love it!! They look awesome!

  • Love the nails!

I'm super lame and haven't done anything exciting for St. Patty's since I was in school. So probably my usual Tuesday routine of gym/yoga and Pretty Little Liars, haha.

  • I am going home, taking some Nyquil and hopefully sleeping off my cold. I don't have the energy for anything else.
  • I have my trainer at 4 and then spin at 4:45. And then after that, I'm going to Target!

    image
  • Not my holiday...I haven't done anything St. Patrick's related since my single, university days. I can muster up enthusiasm for Halloween and Christmas these days but that's pretty much it.

I'm wearing a cardigan with unicorns all over it, though, so that's kind of thematically appropriate, right?

  • Nothing exciting for me either. I skipped my Daily Burn workout last night so I'm going to do two videos tonight and then continue my Parks and Rec marathon.
  • I'm getting a massage tonight!!!!!!!
  • I'm super bummed to not be celebrating. I feel so old (and pregnant).

I AM wearing green, but forgot to redo my nails last night. They're still mint green but they're all chippy and completely lacking in shamrocks. Fail.

Corned beef is going in the crock pot... but I forgot to buy potatoes. Double fail.

  • Tá mé ag caitheamh glas lá atá inniu ann agus caife Éireannach ag ól cheana féin. Ansin anocht tá mé ag dul chun dul abhaile agus uisce beatha a ól!

    Lá Shona Fhéile Pádraig!
  • And in English:

I'm already wearing green and drinking Irish coffee. Tonight I'm going to go home and drink whiskey!

    Happy St. Patrick's day!
  • I wore a green maxi dress and will drink my American beer tonight but dye it green, haha. That's about all.

  • Oh...maybe I'll stop and get some Guiness instead. That sounds kind of good.
  • I'm wearing my Aran sweater and green headband at my daughter's request (the advantage of working from home!).

The kiddos are in their green too and later today there should be the traditional Guinness baby hat photo.

I'm super bummed that DH is going out tonight while I'm home with the kids.   He's not even Irish!   But Tuesday night is his night to go out and last week I went on a 4 day business trip leaving him home with the 4 yo and the baby.   It wasn't so fun for him dealing with the night wakings of a breast fed baby so I'm going to have the traditional Irish meal by myself.
  • An Irish blessing:

May those who love us, love us.
And those that don't, may God turn their hearts.
And if he doesn't turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles so that we will know them by their limping.

  • Why am I not laying face down in a ditch being run over by parade floats? Damn, I miss my twenties! I opted for a massage., instead.
  • I've got my green on and have the corned beef cooking! My mom's side of the family is very Irish, so we always have a huge celebration! My grandma and her siblings all speak Gaelic and we dance to Irish music. I love St. Patrick's Day!

  • My nails were already green from a remarkably resilient manicure I got two weeks ago, so yay?

I'm boring otherwise. My plans for tonight are to go home, get some laundry and housework done, maybe order Chinese because I made pot roast last night and don't feel like cooking again, and watching the new episode of Community when FI comes home.

  • I'm a ginger, I have Irish heritage and I am wearing a green shirt.

That's about the extent of my St. Patricks day. I've never been a huge drinker so I've never really gotten into the 'celebration aspect' of the day.

  • I love the nails too!

No plans today, nor did I wear any green. I've already gotten lots of stupid comments (red hair and freckles make everyone assume I'm Irish) so I feel like I've experienced the holiday and can move on.

Tonight, SIL is supposed to come for dinner. She's in town for a few days. Not sure how it will work because she told us that she's coming but assumed we'd drive her around. Not in my schedule. We've got this going in the crockpot. Maybe I'll make sure that the salad I'm serving with it is completely green.

This is like the only time I miss my dad's side of the family. My grandmother would always host a huge celebration for St. Patrick's Day. She immigrated from Ireland and so did my grandfather (when they were younger), everyone on that side speaks Gaelic, we'd always have a big party, and they're very stereotypical Irish Catholic with like...50 kids who each had 50 kids so there were roughly a million of us running around. It was lots of fun.

But they're also very stereotypical Irish Catholic in that they aren't thrilled about the homos. So I don't really talk to most of them anymore.
  • I'm wearing a green hoodie. Also I have some Dublin Coddle in the slow-cooker, and I was going to make bread to go with it but then got a splitting headache so we're having rice instead.

I have no contact with the Irish Catholic part of my family either, 'cause they're kinda bigoted trash, so yeah. That's my St Patrick's day.

  • I also painted my nails green! As I don't really own much green haha. That's about all. I'm trying to be 'healthy' this march, which includes no alcohol. I already slipped up last weekend, so probably just go home. Wow I'm boring.

  • I'm Irish too (mom's side) but no big celebrations for me... it's a Tuesday after all :)  I am wearing green heels and a green sweater though.

My friends and I range from 24-28 and we still do PLL Tuesdays. My one friend said it better end soon because she cannot be 30 and still watching! I am obsessed.

  • I am doing nothing. I don't even think I'm wearing green. We did win St. Patty's Day trivia last night, so that was exciting, but I think we're just going to chill and maybe try again with Prisoner of Azkaban. We were too tired last night to watch it, even though we wanted to.

  • Love your nails!  Super cute!

I have a pedicure scheduled for after work which I am so looking forward to, and then after that FI and I are having chinese for dinner.   Yum. But no, nothing super exciting or festive.

Yeah I'm at the point where I just want to know who A is, damn it! It's such a confusing storyline at this point but I can't stop watching!
