Ah, so many places to go, so little time! 

Thank you for answering, sorry for posting and ghosting.... these definitely gave us more of an idea of places to go / cut some places out for sure. I finagled a few more days off from work, so we have 11 days, which is nice for longer travel times, but we have yet to make a decision. Also, I work night shift, so I'm used to being on opposite time schedules a lot, so I'm hoping that will help me if we go somewhere where real jet lag could be an issue! *fingers crossed*

I really want to see the northern lights, but that's not really an option in May, and my vacation time is basically set in stone, so I will have to hold off on that trip for a few years! 

Unfortunately DH has very little interest in eastern europe, so I'll save that for a me trip later on one day

We're really looking at Greece, Iceland, Australia,New Zealand and Thailand, but definitely need to weigh the travel time vs time spent. And, budget. I'm willing to spend $3-5K on this (yay tax return! plus some extra savings). I'm not opposed to only seeing one part of Australia or one part of Thailand because while yes, it'd be awesome to go and spend 2-3 weeks in one place, but that's just not going to happen. I have 11 days right now, so I can see 2 cities and then in a few years go back and see a few more, NBD, IMO.
