My $0.02 on online RSVPs. They aren't my favorite...they CAN signal a more casual reception to me, unless the invitation itself looks more formal/semi-formal and the venue/time matches. It doesn't really bother me, I've been invited to two weddings now with an online RSVP option and as far as I know it wasn't an issue (as long as the directions to RSVP aren't located on the back of the invitation cause I'll never see it then).

LOL you just inadvertently settled a debate FI and I were having about the invitations. Minted has the option to print info on the back, and I said no one would ever look on the back of an invitation. He said I was wrong. Thanks for settling that for me.  

We're leaning towards online RSVPs due to budget constraints. Right now we feel like we're hemorrhaging money, and online RSVPs seem like an easy way to save some cash. We're still playing around with the invitation suite though.  Allegedly my parents are going to pay us back for the cost of the venue, food, and cake, and my mom told me today she will split the cost of the rehearsal dinner with us, so we may not be as over budget as we currently appear...  

I appreciate all the tips about the RSVPs! These are definitely points that we'll consider as we continue to look at invitation options.

Boo. Now I do have to work tomorrow morning. Not a big deal but I'm annoyed that there are like 5 different schedules posted that don't all match so no one knows what the hell is going on.

ETA: OMG, now they don't know if I'm working or not! My manager says yes, the managerer of the branch I'd be at says no. Why is this so hard to figure out? Now my boss's boss is involved because there's been so much back and forth about the damn Saturday schedule.

@nycgal85 - I guess your story gives me hope, at least! I know he's actually thought about it, because last summer he told me he considered proposing during this backpacking trip we did. Then all of a sudden it was back to "not any time soon". I think he gets freaked out too. Moreso because his parents separated last year. Today is 2 years, 4 months together. But we'll have been living together for 2 years next month.

@bethsmiles - Haha, yes I did! Who wouldn't call someone out on it when they're spewing bullshit?........... Also, don't we get jobs that aren't retail/restaurants so we DON'T have to deal with the scheduling BS? I'm sorry your job is being so annoying.

@AlPacina - You would think they could figure out a basic schedule but this company has some serious communication issues that are already very apparent in the short time I've worked here.

@Swazzle Barry's bootcamp has locations in a bunch of states. lots of celebrities do it so I figure it must be a good workout.....but I admit I didn't make it to class yesterday. Oops.
