Wondering if any of you out there have worked with the Aloft Hotel Downtown in regards room blocks? I have been working with a lady there recently. At first things were going great and seemed to be well organized and put together. In the past 2 days, they over booked a meeting room I had reserved, but after ripping her a new one has become available to just my party. And then they provided a higher room rate on our agreement then what was previously discussed. SMH. just wondering if anyone else out there has had or dealt with these issues there. We really love the hotel and the "party" atmosphere. But if this is how their group sales department handles potential clients, this scares me. Esp when the majority of our guests will be from out of town resulting in close to $10k in sales for 1 night!
