Hey all you etiquette queens. I just wanted to share the sweetest thing I've ever heard from a bride...
I'm the one who posted the Flower Girl Shoes post. My future SIL asked for gold sandals after I'd already bought white shoes.
Anyway, I talked to my FSIL today about the gold sandals, and about the fact that my 8-year-old daughter has Autism and might not act completely right in her role as flower girl.
I advised my FSIL that my daughter might wander off during her trip down the aisle. I let her know that my daughter might see a pretty pin on someone's shirt and go toward it. I let her know that my daughter might sit right down in the middle of the aisle and scream, and it won't matter if she's wearing gold sandals or not.
Know what the bride said??
"We love her and we want her in the wedding. No matter how she acts. No matter if she has a melt-down. No matter what shoes she has on. No matter if she flips out before the ceremony and doesn't want any shoes at all."
That is the very meaning of not being a Bridezilla.
