satin dress

would a satin dress that is a little on the shiny side photograph well or would the light reflect off of it and cancel out the details of the dress?

A good photographer should be able to photograph it well no matter what.  I'm not sure what would happen with an amateur photographer but if you have a professional, I wouldn't be concerned.

Mine was satin and it was fine... it wasn't shiny at all though.
