Do you have a colour? (NWR)

Re: Do you have a colour? (NWR)

  • Purple and teal.  If there are a hundred color options, its a pretty safe bet that the purple or the teal one will be coming home with me, even if I actively think "oh I should X non purple or teal".  I cannot resist a teal sweater, no matter how I try.

My neutral is grey because I am pale and it is less harsh but I also love navy, if that counts as a neutral, and if I want to be fancy, I always end up with something navy. Other people have LBDs I have LNDs.
  • I never thought that I had a go-to color until I recently bought a these in TX last month. I now know that the majority of my winter/spring wardrobe is black or gray (and nothing matches).

I have lots of colorful t-shirts, tanks, and dresses but my winter wardrobe is pretty black-centric. I live in black v-necks and cardigans with random tops thrown under my cardigan. My closet shows a lot of blues and purples but they never get worn. With red hair, freckles, and blue eyes, I look best in jewel tones.

Magazines and websites always used to say that fat girls should hide themselves in black. My wardrobe shows that I haven't managed to unlearn that yet.

  • Most of my wardrobe is a mix of neutrals (black, tan, white), but I also like blues and greens.  I definitely think black is probably the dominant color though.  Whenever SO and I are out shopping and I pick up a neutral shirt he always rolls his eyes jokingly and says, "You would."

The only orange article of clothing I own is a Halloween Jack-o-Lantern t-shirt.  The only yellow thing I own is a dress I had to buy as a bridesmaid.  I also don't really own any neon or bright colors.

I have a ton of black. And the annoying thing is that I don't even particularly like to wear black much. It's just so safe.

I end up picking up a lot of mustard yellow items. I rarely ever buy them though, because I think the color is weird on me, but I'm constantly looking at them and trying them on.

I own a lot of burgundy. After I put down the mustard colored item, I usually pick up the burgundy one that is close to it. I could wear an entire burgundy outfit head-to-toe.

  • My closet is 50 Shades of Green. FI thinks it's sexy.
  • Blue blue blue I love all blues

  • Black!

I also love red and pink. Everything I own is typically black and if it's not black chances are it's red or pink. Or some shade of like mint/aqua.

  • All this thread has done is make me want to go shopping. I hate every single stitch of my work clothes.

I don't think I have a color. It feels like everything I wear is black, but today the only thing I'm wearing that's black is my glasses, and yesterday I didn't even have on the black glasses.
