figuring out free tuxes

We have 3 free tux rentals, aside from the groom's that we are supposed to give out to our wedding party.  I feel like one should go to the best man but we can't agree on who should get the other two or how to figure out who gets them.  Has anyone been in this situation?  How did you figure it out and agree on it?

I think I would take the cost of the remaining tuxes and divide by the number of GM you have and then that is what each GM pays.  That way no one person gets a free tux while another has to pay full price.

This is something we thought of after our appointment with the tux store.  Something to ask about tonight but I'm not sure they'll allow it.

This is something that your FI will have to talk to your GM about because most likely the money will have to change hands between all of the GMs rather then the store.  So your FI will tell his GM the plan and then set a deadline in which they have to get him the money and then two GM will get "free" tuxes (meaning not have to pay anything to the store) and the other GM will use the money gathered to pay for their tuxes.  You certainly don't have to tell the store you are doing this, in fact they don't care as long as they get paid.

you could ask them to give you the money after everything cost wise is split up evenly then you would go to the store pay ahead for the tuxes and then have the men come and pick them up or get fitted witchever you have not done yet

We had two free and about $65 off another. My husband got a free one and we gave the other free to my stepdad and the money off to my father in law as my mom and stepdad paid for the majority of our wedding and my in laws paid for the rest.

I'm not sure where you got your tuxes, but if it's Men's Warehouse they do let you split the price of the free tux with the other GMs. FI got a free tux and he just paid for his and then divided the savings amongst the rest of the guys. It worked out well.

Thanks ladies!  We ended up just telling the shop who got free tuxes but the consultant said if we want to divide the free tux prices amongst the guys we'd have to figure it out ourselves

That's crazy! From a bridal show we had multiple $ discounts, FI free tux, plus another free tux. We took fiances free tux and then the shop (American commodore tuxedo) figured out the rest of the $ amounts that we had including splitting up the second free tux between the groomsmen and ring bearer

Hmm interesting, the one person I talked to didn't figure it out for us, maybe I'll email another contact I have for the shop
