My fiance are doing things a little backwards; we went The Bump, The Nest and now The Knot; however, I'm now doubting even going through with it. I wanted to be married before our son was born (Nov 2010) and wanted to just go to the courthouse and get it done then plan something later. He did not want to do this so now we're stuck trying to plan a budget wedding and I'm asking myself what's the point. We are on a tight budget, we both carry some debt, and planning this wedding is making me not want to go through with it anymore. I want to just go to the courthouse and get it done and have a nice big reception.
I don't want a big wedding mainly because I don't have a big family, he does, and I don't have a ton of friends. My guest list is about 10 people, his is 12 with family alone and we've been able to get the guest list up to 50 people. When we talk about it he invisions this nice big wedding and I just want something small and private. UGH!
Anyone else in a similar situation? Any suggestions? If not...this was just a vent.
