So I received my veil yesterday, I ordered it from Etsy. I got a cathedral length veil with lace detailing on the bottom edge. I tried it on and loved it, but then I noticed that it looked like the lace was applied on the wrong side of the veil, since it was facing downwards. I started to freak out a bit, and the veil is so damn long that it was a bit hard to tell,so I decided to have FI help me. I figured, it's not the dress, so it's no biggie to me if he sees it. He helped me spread the veil out, and we noticed that yes, the lace was facing the wrong way. He asked if I was putting it on correctly, and I told him that I was and showed him the direction that the comb was supposed to go on.
At this point I'm thinking, great, it would be my luck to get a defective veil. I decided to message the seller, but I thought sending pictures would be best. At this point, FI went down to get the laundry so I didn't have him to help me with the pictures, and I was too impatient to wait for him. The bed was undressed, so I took this huge panda comforter we have and put it on the bed. I then took a Winnie the Pooh stuffed animal, and put the veil on him to help show how the veil fit incorrectly. I sent the Etsy seller a message indicating that I loved my veil, but I thought there was an issue with how the lace was applied, and sent her a few pictures. She wrote back that she couldn't really tell if I had put it on correctly based on my pictures, but sent me a picture of how the lace should look over the veil, and explained step by step how it should be placed.
Guys. I was totally putting the veil on incorrectly the entire time. I felt like a total idiot after sending the vendor pictures of Winnie the Pooh wearing my veil. Ugh! She was really nice and helpful throughout everything, and my veil looks even better now that it is properly placed, so I'm really relieved and happy with my veil! Still pretty embarrassed though, haha. I uploaded the pic I sent the Etsy vendor.
