Wedding Vows & Ceremony Discussions

Need advice

Our wedding is on Saturday (Sept 17th).

Today we got two pieces of bad news, one that my groom's uncle passed away of a sudden heart attach and the other that one of our groomsmen was in a car accident, had surgery on his broken leg and also got a broken wrist.

So now, we aren't sure what to expect from our groomsmen and his wife (also in the wedding) and not sure what to tell them.  We've told them if they really can't stand (or sit) up in the wedding or even can't come at all we completely understand.  But is there something else we can do, should do.  Does anyone have experience with this?

The Uncle that passed has three children and several grand children who we are now not sure if they will be attending (upwards of 12 people).  We are already adding him to the memorial portion of the wedding (slide show and photo table) but aren't sure how to handle this.

If anyone has experience or advice, please let me know.  I pray this doesn't happen to anyone else's family and friends before their wedding...but it certainly puts things into perspective.

God Bless.
