I hate the spring!

A tornado just passed within a few miles of my parents' home. I'm glued to the news....

But normally I love spring. Flowers! (Ew, snirt.)

Fall is my favorite season. Summer is my least favorite since it's so hot all the time. The thing I hate about spring is bugs. I always get bit.

I'm glad their home is ok! It's such a scary thing to experience.

last year was pretty bad. we had cold air coming off the lake and warm air from the south and it hit the same city about 3 times in 2 weeks. i remember the first one i was heading home from work had just gotten off the high way to a warning that expired in 5 minutes. it was scary that night. we ended up with water coming into our basement. youngest niece saying she wasnt going to bed because her school across town would have flooded when we knew it wouldnt. 

last night was our first night of bad storms. or so they say. up near cedar point they had a tornado touch down but by me just rain. 

i cant do storms. depends where i am at and the time of day. night i cant. day i am pretty ok unless they are severe.

I hate mud season, and the tease with a day of sunshine and 60 degree temps followed by another day of 30s and sleet. It is, in fact, the cruelest month.

All we get is a couple months where its "cold" for us (in the 30's-50's for the high) and then summer. Today it was 90F in the shade. I don't know how the tourists do it in July and August.
