Sephora VIB Sale

Does anyone else get as excited as I do about this?  In case you don't know, the VIB Rouge sale is now thru the 16th, the VIB sale is the 16th-21st, and the Beauty Insider Sale is 21st-26th (I think).

I'm making my list and it's getting rather long.

I use the discount to stock up on stuff that I use everyday like foundation and powder, but then I also like to get one fun thing to try. 

Do you all use the discount to stock up, or for fun stuff?

I don't like Sephora, but I definitely stock up when Ulta has sales on the brands I like or a coupon that applies to Prestige brands.

I go a little crazy during VIB Rouge sales! 

I went with a friend on Sunday and got 3 shampoos and 3 conditioners (Alterna Caviar), moisturizer (Dr. Dennis Gross Anti-Aging, Clarisonic brush replacements, and a new mascara (Tarte Lights Camera Lashes)! So mostly stocking up on my usuals, plus something I've been coveting for a while (I just finished up a sample of that mascara that I loved).

I have 16 items in my basket, and they are all literally to stock pile stuff I use every day.

Oh, and I'm also out of perfume, so that adds a big chunk to my total.

But I guess, now is the best time to be out of stuff!

I'll just VIB so I also have to wait, but i'll get my usuals and a couple things I'm meaning to try. I love Sephora

I'm just a VIB although I'm too darn close to becoming VIB Rouge.  Are the percentage discounts different for the various levels, or just the dates?  Either way, I'll take advantage of this.

I am Rouge.  I use it for fun stuff.  I don't go crazy, but I will spend a little more than I usually do in one session and use it to try items I've had my eye on for awhile that I probably wouldn't otherwise pull the trigger on (like the Kevyn Aucoin sculpting and highlighting powders).  However, while adding things to my cart, two of the items I wanted most from Clinique went out of stock, so now I don't know if I should just put in my order now or wait and see if they come back in stock in the next day or two.  I know it doesn't really matter since I get free shipping as Rouge anyway, but I hate placing multiple orders - I tend to lose track of how much I've spent total that way (which is probably how I ended up as Rouge in the first place).

For VIB's and VIB Rouge, it's 15% off.  For Beauty Insiders its 10% off.

I buy too much at Sephora. I kind of want to stock up - but I also am afraid I will spend a zillion dollars I don't have right before our wedding. I'm somewhat ashamed that I manage to get to VIB level every year, although I do buy Christmas presents there too. 

I would shop exclusively with Birchbox if I could, because they have what I think is a much better rewards system, and I get free points for doing reviews, but unfortunately they don't carry some of my favorite brands -- like NARS.

I made all of my final payments on our wedding stuff, and bought gifts kind of along the way, so right now I have a little more wiggle room for "me" stuff than usual.  Plus, I kinda want to go ahead and stock up so that I wont have to be spending on it right after we get married.

Makeup and perfume seriously is just about all I need right now, I don't need clothes, or home furnishings or any of that, but I do need makeup!

Bumping because it's the triple points fragrance event.  I seriously do not need the points, but I'm seriously tempted to splurge.  I just got my second package from the VIB Rouge sale and my second attempt at buying a fragrance unsniffed was a huge success (the first - Burberry Brit Rhythm was not as successful - I took a chance because I love regular Burberry Brit and while I don't hate it, I certainly don't love it).

I am in love with L'Artisan Parfumeur.  So in love I'm willing to ignore the $145+ price tag.  I've been trying to find a spring fragrance and got the mini coffret set of Mure et Musc Extreme and La Chasse au Papillons and love them both.  I think it will be awhile before I actually splurge though, however, La Chasse au Papillons is available in rollerball form, so I may settle for that. 

 

The rest of my orders were a mixed bag.  Got more eye cream and primer and Benetint.  Took a chance on the new Clinique lipsticks that include primer and was pretty impressed with both that I got, as well as the Clinique cheek color pop.  Somewhat neutral on my Bare Minerals eye shadow palette and Benefit Hoola powder (it's hard finding a bronzer that doesn't lean too orange - I like it but am not in love yet).  Pretty disappointed with the Josie Maran coconut water cheek gelee and Benefit They're Real Push-up Liner (love the mascara, but really hating this liner).
