First World Problems

It's Monday so I thought this would be a good topic to start..

1. I went downstairs to get a beer, we only have IPA and I'm not a fan, but I really want a beer so I guess I'll drink it.

2. We started a registry this weekend, and have so much stuff already I have no idea what to put on it.

3. I left my girl scout cookies in the camp trailer and now I really want one but it would be a 13hr drive to go get them.

I have Blackhawks playoff tickets, but one of the games is standing room only. I don't want to stand. And it's a late puck drop so we can't take the train down. I don't want to have to drive either.

I can't make the computer work to stream my new workout.  Obviously I need to go back to eating peanut butter right out of the jar

This goes along with the cheap food thread... I have a house full of fresh and frozen veggies but all that sounds good to my pregnant tummy is the $1 bag of instant mashed potatoes.

Not prego but I hear you on the healthy crap! We have tons of it and just went shopping but all I want is my damn cookies that I can't have!

This is me. I'm trying to eat healthy this week, but all I want are leftover cookies and wine.

Mine may not actually be a first world problem, but my damn car started fine this morning and wouldn't even pretend to turn over at lunch even though nothing was left on. And then Fi's battery was too small to jump it, so I have to get up extra early to ride in to work with my mom, and may have to take her car to do my lunchtime errands, which I hate to drive. And then I have to try to jump it tomorrow using my dad's truck.

I swear the stupid thing heard me tell my car-salesman uncle it wasn't a fun car. It's being a turd to spite me.

Ohhhh I wish haha, it'd be super difficult to get there. Alabama and all. if it were a miraculous weekend game then I would take you up on it - FI would flip his shit if I got us Hawks playoff tickets. But it's not happening midweek haha.

The REI sale is ending tonight and I can't figure out how to spend my annual dividend reward because I already own one of everything they sell!

I bought a nice wood cutting board when we were in Belize during our cruise in January and I don't want to actually use it because the knife will scratch the beautiful wood.

OMG, so FI went to spend his (tiny) dividend this weekend.  It was only $34, but he was going to pony up the extra for 2 Yeti ramblers.  Well, he went to check out and found a $50 gift card he'd forgotten about.  Once the sale discount was applied, he actually got $7 back!  It was awesome; I told him to go buy lotto tickets with it!

HA FI just spent his the other day. He had a very hard time deciding as well. He kept asking me what about this? I'm like don't you already have that? He was like well I could use a new one...

I have a rule that for every piece of clothing I buy I have to get rid of another (toss, donate, etc.). The limited number of hangers (and closet space!!) is the motivation behind this. Plus I kind of like getting rid of old things almost as much as buying new things.

This is a real nice thought and FI tries to get me to do it, but I can't let go of things. I hold on to everything. I've had a dress for oh, 6 years or so. I keep telling myself I'm going to wear it and I never do. I finally dontated it last week.

I try to make this agreement with myself and it SO doesn't work! Doesn't help that we have a walk in closet in the master and three other bedrooms that I can use the closets in.. I need a smaller house! There's another FWP.. My dog is shedding and I really hate having to vacuum the 3100sqft every other day!!!

My FI tried to impose this rule on me after I broke my closet recently.  All it did was motivate me to clean out another closet, so now half my clothes are in there.

I have the same rule for myself.   

Obviously from my post yesterday DH doesn't have the same "rule"

I found out last week that the horrible allergies I thought I've had my whole life, are totally minor. But rhinisitis gets me all stuffed up and then I can't breath because my nose holes are too small.

Apparently that's a thing.

DH makes wooden cutting boards now for kicks and we gave one to his parents and they had the best idea ever.  Cut on only one side, then you can flip it over and look at the pretty, unspoiled side but you still can use the board.
