My brother just got married on the 30th of July. It was a perfect day except most of my family didn't show up!!!! They all rsvp'd yes, told them yes to their face and even expressed how excited to me they were. Then facebook posts said some of them had a perfect day at the lake. Am I being selfish in thinking that they should've come to my brothers wedding since it's a once in a life time event? They paid for their food for them to be there, extra chair covers, etc... I realize this happens sometimes but it was a lot of them.
What I was wondering is would it be incredibly wrong of me to not invite those people who skipped out on his wedding to my own. I don't want them there if they cannot attend his. He was very hurt by this and the idea of them coming to mine over his hurts me as his big sister. I'm pretty confused on what to do. Is it rude to not invite those select people? One is even our uncle!!!
Help. Opinions. Suggestions??!?
