One year ago I noticed that my left eye would not open fully, and there was a lump underneath it. Most of your know that it turned out to be metastatic breast cancer, stage 4.
One year later, the lump is finally gone! My eye is still goopy because radiation damaged my tear ducts and killed off my lower eyelashes, but that is minor. I wear thick glasses, so it isn't very noticeable.
I don't know how long I will have in this remission. My last one was five years. I still take strong chemo pills. We are planning another cruise to Norway with a side trip to Belgium I'm going to enjoy my new life! I lost 50 pounds in treatment. Those pills kill my appetite. Need to buy new clothes!
