Not really a question but a statement...

I lurked a lot and used a lot of the advice from the etiquette queen's here (as well as an Emily Post book) and focused on my guests' comfort and pleasure at our wedding and reception and I have been overwhelmed with compliments from those who were floored by our event. I've been told what seems like a million times that my wedding was absolutely stunning and that everyone had a great time. The night was perfect and I made sure I dotted the etiquette I's and crossed the T's and I could not have imagined a better night! Listen to these ladies and be careful to consider your guests needs and comforts and your wedding will be amazing and completely unforgettable!

Great!  I'm glad to hear you had such a lovely wedding, and congratulations (or best wishes, if we're going to follow etiquette ;) ).

  • Congrats on the wedding!  I'm glad you had a great time!

  • Congrats!

I'm so glad to hear the wedding went so well.

Hosting your guests properly isn't as hard as people thing.  The pay offs are well worth the effort!

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • Congratulations!
