In a week, I'll be seeing my FI again, AND heading to Nova Scotia, woohoo! We'll be driving there, probably take 4 days to get there, spend a week with his family, and then same amount of time back.
I'm so excited, because I'll not only be able to spend all that time with FMIL and FSD (my MOH), as well as meet all his family. I'm also planning on giving MOH a pendant I'd had made for her as a thank you gift for agreeing to be MOH. (It's not something I'm requiring her to wear for wedding.) I'd had it made out of a cluster diamond ring, so I'm really hoping she likes it.
The thing that has me really tickled, is that they have our entire trip planned out, and it has NOTHING to do with FI. He's like, well, I'm going to have her working at my house..."no dad, we're going to go 'insert place' after place, after place. I guess they've talked about nothing else for the last week or so.
I am planning to take her looking at dresses, as I'm not sure whether or
not we'll be able to get back to Nova Scotia before next year.
(yeah,
wedding date is now 05/21/16, so ticker is wrong). I know it's early,
but won't necessarily buy, just see what she likes (my 3 ladies are
choosing their own dresses, I have just let them know length and color)
I tell you, it's great to be loved!
What's made this trip feasible, is my company has changed all schedules to 3 weeks on/ 3 weeks off, (ensuring more people work, fewer layoffs) until September, or until the oil patch starts getting busier, whichever comes first. This means more chance for traveling this summer, so hoping I'll have another chance to go back to Nova Scotia
Other interesting excitement is that FI and FSD have applied for the WoodsDreamJob, which is a 5 month job requiring canoeing, hiking, swimming,camping across Canada, using Woods brand camping/sporting equipment. Only one person, or a team of two will be chosen, so we'll find out by May 12 if they have it or not. FI has been with his family for the last 2.5 weeks, and driving back tomorrow, then when I'm done work on April 29, we'll drive back to Nova Scotia. His poor little Mustang is getting a workout! :P
