Did you/Will you have any rituals?

We had a tree planting ceremony. My grandmother passed away, and it was a way to include her and our families on our wedding day.  We took some soil from my grandparents old house, and some soil from H's parents house and added it to a potted plant (a magnolia tree... my grandmother's favorite). Then, we added water to the plant.  A few days after the wedding, we planted the tree in it's foster yard (my stepmother's yard) until we buy a house of our own, someday.

   It was very beautiful, and held so much meaning to us. I can't watch that part of the wedding video without bawling my eyes out. If we didn't decide to do the tree planting, we probably would have skipped a unity ritual, because sand, and candles didn't hold much meaning to us. I just didn't want something collecting dust or eventually getting thrown away.
