So it's almost two weeks after our wedding, and everything was more beautiful than I could have imagined. However, when we got home I discovered that our "Guestbook" had been completely overlooked, and not put out at the ceremony - and therefore not signed by ANYONE. I am in tears about this.
I had brought our non- traditional guestbook (it was a stack of 4x6 cards to write on and put into an album) to the church the night before and by the next day when I saw the sanctuary again after hair makeup and photos, someone had put out all of our decorations, etc. But I guess whoever our decor fairy was did not recognize what the cards and pens were for.
I wasn't able to find any other threads about missing guestbooks, but if anyone had a similar experience, how did you handle it post wedding? I know that in the grand scheme of things what is important is that my day was beautiful and I am now married to the man of my dreams. But everything went by so quickly that I'm sure you can imagine why I would want a record of who was there. I've been brainstorming about it. Do you think it would be rude to set up an online guestbook and send an email to those who attended asking them to sign it after the fact? Or is that just being whiny and OCD?
