Odd family traditions

Christmas tree has always been decorated on my birthday (December 1st) but always comes down on the last day of the year.

I take my mother out to eat the day before or after Mother's Day and pay for her meal. If my dad goes with us, he buys his own. Same thing with Father's Day, my mom buys her own. We also do their birthdays like that. There are usually NO gifts involved though. Just that of togetherness.
