We're going through a friend of the family for our wedding cake. She usually doesn't do wedding cakes but actually does make cupcakes for a living. She's by no means a cake designer, a cake baker? yes. She has done a couple of cakes and they are very simple. We've been discussing what kind of cake she'll make. A cake that serves 60 people (3 tier), buttercream icing, very simple cake for 650 dollars. She doesn't have the cake stand we want so we are buying it ourselves. We wanted crystal beading on it... she doesn't have it so we're buying that too. We want roses on it and she's asked to provide them for her on the morning of the wedding, and we are expected to pay for a dozen of them. Is 650 a lot to pay for this kind of cake and then to also pay and provide any of the decorations for it and the cake stand? Thank you!
