Pitch Perfect 2

So obviously I'm a big fan of Pitch Perfect...love it! Easily in my top 10!

I saw Pitch Perfect 2 last night. It was great, not as good as the first one - rarely is - but totally worth watching. The one liners weren't as strong, I feel like they used all the good ones in the first one - understandable, you can't hold back hoping for a sequel.

The Green Bay Packers made for some fun eye candy, IMHO. Their cameo is in the trailer, so that shouldn't be a surprise or spoiler for anyone.

I just love Elizabeth Banks!

Anyone else see it or going to this weekend?

My best friend is going to see it. She saw the first one in theaters about five times, so she's really excited. 

We did Avengers two weeks ago, and FI is for some reason totally opposed to the concept of Pitch Perfect, so I'll have to wait until BFF buys the DVD and we watch it. 

Edited because FI is NOT opposed to the Avengers, which is how it read in my head.

I need a coffee IV.

I really hated on Pitch Perfect 1 before I saw it. When I watched it, I completely changed my mind. It's hilarious! 

Super excited for #2. I'm going next weekend!

I've never seen PP 1

However, when the trailers for PP2 started coming out, I made DH download PP1.  I have today and Monday off (fuck yeah super long weekend!!!!), so my goal for today is to get a massage and watch PP1.  I will then waste the next 4 days by doing absolutely nothing.

We are seeing it as part of a double feature at the drive in this weekend. I have been looking forward to it since it was announced, but my DH might be more excited than I am.

He had never seen the original until we watched it a few months ago and he loved it. He is a person that says we can't watch xyz movie because he just watched it 2 YEARS ago, yet has stopped whatever he is doing to come watch the original when it is on TV and I have it on ever since that first time.

DH and I really want to see it! He loved the first one, surprisingly. It's so funny because he likes it just as much as me and didn't want to watch it at all.

Side story - Magic Mike XXL trailer plays. My mom leans over and says "I never saw the first one." I reply, it's best to watch it on mute. She nods, grins and slides back into her seat.

I might go to that one on opening night as well

@WinstonsGirl, you won't have much time to waste after you start watching PP1 over and over and over and again

I am so excited to see this movie. I've been slowly working on H to get him to come with me. Little does he know that I have been keeping track and the last 3/4 movies we saw were his picks. I am so not afraid to bring out the big guns on this one!

Haha so Skylar Astin (who plays Jesse) is my really good friends little brother.  We grew up with him so it's so funny seeing him in movies!  He's such a sweetie, I always see him home at holidays or in LA when I visit my brother and it's such a trip that he's getting so famous!  A bunch of us from high school are going to go see it soon!

I just saw the first one earlier this week.  lol  It was cute but I'm not sure I will see the sequel in theaters.  I may redbox it some day.

I want to see PP2! Early official reviews said it's really bad. So I am interested to see what y'all think of it before I waste $11. 

Even DH likes PP1. Shocking. It was on ABCFamily all weekend and he even got a kick out of the one liners. I kept saying, "I see you grinning. See? It's not bad! It's ACA-AWESOME!"

My two best girlfriends and I are seeing it on Sunday! I'm going to suggest we go to the fancy theatre with the big recliners and everything. I didn't super love the first one when I saw it, but the music was just so catchy. I ended up listening to the soundtrack on repeat. I just hope the second one has music half as good and I'll be happy.

We're talking about seeing it on Sunday. I usually dislike going on opening weekend but my mom wants to go and is offering to pay so....I'm gonna roll with it. 

I'm excitied to see and then I also read this review and now I'm more excited to see it.

We don't have a cinema in town, so I have to wait a couple months until it comes on one of the satellite channels at the IL's place. I am so jealous of all the people who get to see it first.

I saw it last night with my FI and his friends!  I did love it, not as good as the first, but it was still awesome!  Pitch Perfect was one of the first movies that I showed to my FI, so he was actually looking forward to it. 

I agree that the Green Bay Packers were super funny!

I adore Skylar Astin as well!  That is so cool!  I am also glad to hear that he is a sweetie!
