Wedding Flowers

The venue where we are getting married does a standard rose bouquet but I upgraded to yellow lilies. The wedding coordinator has told me that the groom's boutonniere will still be a yellow rose. She told me that a lilly will be too big for a boutonniere. I understand that the lilies are large but do you think it will look weird that he has a rose and I don't. I'm worried that it won't match. They are also going to give my maid of honor and the best man a rose.

If it's all yellow, it's fine.

In my thoughts, it just makes your bouquet the feature (usually bridesmaid bouquets are different anyway). I completely agree that a lily would be way too large for a boutonniere.
