How do y'all plan to survive til Friday? I'm making a packing list and looking up "beach reads" to put on my Nook for the weekend! WOO BEACH. I need to convince FI to get a job in Florida.

Also, not related: I'm loving this new glitch where apparently the font changes when I post a gif. Because, you know, that isn't annoying or anything. ETA: it didn't keep the stupid font when I posted. I feel better now.

Just trying to stay busy. I have an old friend coming to visit Friday so thankfully I get to have a short-ish day, but as usual with these things even though I'll be on my way to pick her up in 48 hours it feels like an ETERNITY. And yet it also feels like not enough time because I still have to straighten the guest room, clean the bathroom and apartment floors, and clear out my car.

Also my charging case for my phone just up and stopped charging today. It charged all the way to work and then somewhere in between the walk from my car to my office it just decided, "Nahh." Luckily I ordered a new one for cheap because my phone is so old now, but that's going to be annoying over the next couple of days. FWP!

Work is keeping me busy, at least.

H and I are taking our road trip back to his hometown tomorrow when I get off of work. This means I have negative motivation right now! I am making a packing list of everything we need and will pack it all up tonight. H will load the car tomorrow and then we will be on our way!

 

TMI--of course I have the good fortune of just starting my period. Yay for an eleven hour drive with cramps!

I'd be ok with time slowing down.  I'm swamped with work and we're 10 days out from the wedding and I have realize I have a gazillion things to do.  Time has just been flying by for a while and I need it to slow down a bit

Ugh, this week is going so slow! We have a wedding on Sunday but we don't have much else planned. Probably just relaxing and maybe taking the boat out.

Ditto. I've been so busy with last-minute stuff that I'm forgetting to enjoy the process. I'd love it if things sloooooooooowed down.

Y'all can trade clocks with me. I keep looking at mine, going "Surely it's lunchtime soon, it's been an hour since I last checked," and it's only been three minutes. *headdesk*

I am so stupidly tired today and not feeling well, so my brain is just not working. When I scrolled through CC I read this title as "Wednesday lobster" and got really excited. Now I'm sad again.

It will be a busy weekend but I can't wait - 2 barbecues, DH's new tattoo, and lots of chores. I'll be traveling for the next 2 weeks (mostly work) so I need to get ready.

For now, I'm just excited that I'll get to sleep. I've been leaving the house for work at 4:45 for the last two days and I'm dying.

Also, my new back tattoo is finally not hurting so much. That's wonderful. Also, it means all of the summer dresses with seams that hurt are now options. I'm so glad it's summer. I just wish it didn't come with so much pollen.

Had to go to an awards breakfast for a non-profit that my company sponsors at 7:30 this morning... food was good, but it was long and just wasn't feeling it.

On the plus side, I bought a raffle ticket for their fundraiser and won a wine and chocolate basket! I know what I'm doing tonight!

The next week and a half will be using all my free time to study... taking a PHR certification exam on the 30th... this is the first year that a new company is administering it, and so far 2 people from our prep class have failed. Trying not to worry just yet.

I was banned from TB a few weeks ago, But I guess TB is stupid because I just created another account. So I will keep myself busy, until Friday, by trying to instill logic and science to TB.

Also, my period is 4 days late, but 3 pregnancy tests have said no baby.

Time can slow down for me to! FI was gone all last week, and heads out on Monday again for another 5 days. I had been getting really used to him being around all the time, so while 10 days in a month is minimal compared to the way it used to be, I'm finding it a little tough to accept.

We ordered a new camera through Airmiles and I'm really hoping it gets here before the weekend so FI and I can play around with it together. I know he would be sad if it showed up on Monday and I learned how to use it without him.

We attempted to go see Pitch Perfect last night, but as it was cheap day at the theatre, the line up to get tickets was so long that we would have missed some of the movie by the time we got into the theatre, so we just went for icecream instead.

I'm going to Zumba tonight. I love it, because the instructor plays a song that has the Camel's audio from that commercial mixed with the song. 

Friends are coming over tomorrow for some dinner and then an old school sleepover. I need to figure out a good recipe that can feed 4 hungry girls and a my H that isn't too expensive (and follows my FODMAP diet). Friday is 24 hours at Magic Kingdom and we're waking up at 4am for it. We're insane.

I'm looking forward to doing nothing after work today. Cooking an easy dinner and laying on the couch. I'm going to the Hawks game tomorrow night so, being the great wife that I am, I will probably prepare something for H to eat tomorrow night.

It REALLY should be. It was absolutely fantastic, and when I found a gif with it I couldn't skip it. I am a fairly new Hawks fan (and hockey watcher in general), but FI (then "not-bf") thoroughly indoctrinated me two playoffs ago, haha. I still don't understand how the game works, but it's fun to watch!

@dolewhipper I could get behind that Zumba class. I freaking love the Hump Day Camel.

Umm your head butt GIF is spectacular.  FI and I were watching that last night and he's a super hockey expert, I asked him what the rule was on that... he said "I have no idea, I've never seen that happen before". 

I don't know how I'm going to survive til Friday.  I'm waiting on this offer letter for the new job and it's KILLING ME because I want to resign from my current job so bad.  But I'm also trying to wrap up lots of loose ends and get things as organized as I can, because I know they're fucked once I leave.
