Stylist from multiple places

My wedding is in New England and I live in Arizona so I am planning my wedding from far away. I am in the process of selecting my hair stylist for the wedding day.  I have 9 maids including my MOH. Most of my maids want their hair fully styled (updos etc), but a couple would just like their hair blown out. I also have a few close girl friends who would like their hair blown out. We have a pretty large suite at our hotel and we are planning to have the stylists do everyone's hair at the hotel.  Most of the stylists that I have been talking to about doing my hair for the wedding charge anywhere from 50-65 for an on-site blow out. Although I understand the stylist needs to charge more for on-site styling, I still think 50-65 is exorbitant for just a blow out! I have been searching around for other stylists who might be able to do blow outs on-site for cheaper. Do you think its poor etiquette to have stylists from multiple salons on-site to do my girls hair?

I don't think it would be poor etiquette unless you specifically hired cheaper hairstylists for just your WP or the other guests. What is the other peoples budget-or are you paying for it all? I've seen about $75-150 for on site hair around my area, so your price seems great!
Also, you'll want to make sure that the stylists are o.k. with that set up. Some of them may have something in the contract that states you cannot do this or may leave when they see their competitors there. I honestly feel like this is more trouble than it is worth.

  • Your paying for the convenience. I think that is a really good price.
