In all seriousness, I would skip the clever funny unique hashtags. Let's say your name is Jane (or John, if youre a guy) and your FI's name is Jamie. #JJPatton2015 or something along that line would be the easiest. I went to a wedding with the last name Cruz. Their hashtag was CruzAlong and it was very simple and easy for guests to tag. They wound up getting a lot of people using it because of the simplicity.

I'd keep it simple with something your guests can easily recall.  Pick from names or initials, date/year, etc and I'd leave it at that!

I used the hashtag generator just for fun (we didn't have one) and ours came up as the #Belugals.  We thought it was hilarious and then H went out and bought me some of those blue whales. Get it? Belugals? Belugal whale? Haha. We're funny.

We didn't use a hashtag but for fun I put our info into the generator and one of the results was #EatDrinkandBeHsLastName (his last name starts with an M)

I don't understand why people need help with this shit?  This is not rocket science, it is a hashtag. Pick something easy to remember and that hasn't been used before.

lol, YES. Check it, first. A friend recently got married but someone else had used the same tag just a month or 2 before. And some of the photos that came up were not only not of my friend, but they were....a bit tasteless....

Yeah, the problem with the Hashtag generator is that it assumes that you're going to take your FI's last name. Nope. And all the other ones are too bloody cutesy for me to stomach. Guess our wedding will be low tech.

We didn't have a wedding hashtag. One of my BMs made up the hashtag MylastnameGroomslastnameWedding but only like 1 other person used it and I didn't really care about it. Guess that means my marriage isn't valid? Do I get a re-do?

I say this every time, but I don't really know how to use hashtags.  That said, the only one I've seen in person was kind of horrible and although it was actually the groom's last name that was used, it ended up seeming homophobic to me, so I was not a fan.  The dudes there seemed to think it was hilarious though.

The generator only "came up" with really boring things, like "AmberlovesChris"... uhhh... how original!

If I had used a hashtag from the hashtag generator it would have been #HappilyEverLastName

But I didn't use a hashtag because back when I got married (2011) hashtags were really a twitter only thing and instagram had just been launched not even a year before.  So yeah, I think many of my guests would have been all "what the heck is #HappilyEverLastName and what am I supposed to do with that?"

Wow... the hashtag generator just suggested: #TakeMeTo"dhlastname"Town... Really?  That's stupid.

 

We certainly didn't do a hashtag.  I refuse to get twitter and/or instagram. I have better things to do with my life. I was just impressed that I actually did a wedding website (which I spent a lot of time working on and nobody looked at).
