Finally! I had two short weeks in a row - one with vacation and last week with Memorial Day. So this week has felt extra long. 

After @hellohkb's donut thread, thinking about where to go for a donut on Friday is getting me through the week. Also, I'm finalizing some stuff on our baby registry this weekend, so that's exciting!

What's getting you through the week?

I'm in the same boat as you, two short weeks back to back really make this one drag!

I'm just ready for Saturday so I can sleep in and clean my house. That's all I want.

I am falling asleep at my desk this morning. I also had two very short weeks in a row, so this week sucks ass.

 

What's getting me through is knowing that I have a big weekend planned with lots of family time.

I'm just thinking about resting and relaxing this weekend, after I get my car serviced LOL, but I can't. I'm so behind in grading papers and grades have to be in Monday.  That will be my weekend.

DH has been working 13 hour days this week so I'm trying to think of a way that we can have a relaxing weekend.  I'm actually thinking of treating him to a massage at a place like Massage Envy.

OMG NOTHING. On top of it being the week after a short week, it's also my last week here at this job so it seems ENDLESS.  I get sad when I remember it's only Wednesday

I'm excited for the weekend though, on Saturday we are meeting with the DJ to sign contracts, and then going to pick up my wedding band.  On Sunday evening we have our professional engagement pictures!  It's a bit late considering we've been engaged for 4 months and getting married in about 3, but better late than never, right?

I was able to get a ticket for the Stanley Cup final on Monday so I'm super excited about that. My best friend is having a BBQ on Saturday. Other than that I got nothin'. My job is SO SLOW and SO BORING. I may have to join another forum to take up time during my days.

I leave this afternoon for 5 days with my bf and her new baby. She's doing it (mostly) alone so I'm coming out as her mom leaves. The baby's now 9 days old. Can't wait!

I'm working from home today but given that I haven't packed anything but baby gifts yet, I'll have to get away from my computer and into the closet!

I've been planning a tattoo that I'm getting next Saturday and googling random nonsense (like north american tree frog habitats. Why? No idea. Useless information. But I gotta pass the time somehow!)

Yes A canoe and paddle since that's pretty much the official symbol to me of the lake where my grandma lives, where all my cousins and I get together. But I'm trying not to get too specific with it because the artist who's doing it is awesome and I want it to be his interpretation.

I have an OBGYN appointment after work. So not super looking forward to that. I can't remember if they'll be prodding in my insides this time or not. Hoping not.

So...good things getting me through the week. Um. Well, FI has been out of town since Monday for work and he's coming home today, so I have his cute mug to look forward to tonight.

I'm excited that tomorrow is Thursday which is like my Friday since it will be my last day of the week commuting to work. I work remotely on Fridays which is awesome.

I'm looking forward to a date night with SO on Saturday because mama needs a night out!

The rest of my free time will be spent doing housework, reading and painting my kitchen.

Well I'm on my second cup of coffee and I usually don't drink more than one cup a day. So I agree that it has been a slow week!

Work is so dead right now. Summers are always slow for me, but it's always an adjustment from the faster pace of the busy fall and spring semesters at the university. Confession: I debated calling in sick today because I have plenty of sick time and knew it was going to be an agonizingly slow day.

But I am looking forward to tonight. DH and I are trying a new recipe - pesto-marinated shrimp. Then on Thursday we are going to see Entourage with some friends. I've never seen him so excited to see a movie!!

I have a 90-minute massage scheduled for Saturday... my back has been super tight and killing me all week long, so I'm super excited for the weekend now.

Then I leave for vacation the following weekend.  I'm anxious to get through the next 1-1/2 weeks, but I have SO much to do before vacation, so I hope it doesn't go too quickly either.

Counting down the days until I see A again, which is not this weekend but for a bit next week/weekend.  We're going to a youth Pride prom-like event the one night and I'm kind of excited for it.  That and Kozy Shack rice pudding have been getting me through.

FI and I are doing a super quick weekend away to Vancouver for my cousins wedding. (Seriously we fly out 6am Saturday and fly home 9pm Sunday)

I'm really excited because this cousin actually lived with us for 4 years when he was baby so i've always had a soft spot for him as the 'favourite' cousin and thought of him more as a little brother. And I havent seen him in like 4 freaking years now because of life and I am SO FREAKING EXCITED to see him. Also my brother and SIL will be there which means baby nephew snuggles which always make life better.

What's getting me through this hellacious work-week.... going to see Conor Oberst tomorrow night, and then my friend's wedding is on Saturday!! There will be very little sleeping this week.

• Is it correct medical terminology? 
• Is it funny? 
• Does it involve lesbians? 
• Is it logical and sound advice on safe sex? 
• Is it the actual name of a human body part? 
• Has it been ok to say here in the past? 
• Is it a commonly used, non-offensive word that we've been aware of since childhood? (i.e. c**dom?) 

If you answered yes, then you're contributing to a n****ive e*****ment and it is unacceptable. No! That's not what kind of place this is! I am appalled!

This is my last week at this job, and that's what's getting me though. FI and I are going to go volunteer at the summer camp where we met next week, unless I have a job interview. Both of those things are SUPER EXCITING. I would honestly be happy with either.

This work has been pretty crazy so far, so I'm pleased that my days are going by really fast. After today (Wednesdays in general), everything is peachy. Also we're having grilled chicken and corn for dinner tonight yayyyy.

My boss somehow got us free cookies when he went to pick up lunch that was also free (to me). Free lunch with a bonus free cookie makes me happy.

Don't discriminate. It's not just naughty things involving lesbians, but homosexuals in general, that are offensive.

I'm jealous. FI has a doctors appointments Friday and was told he can't ejaculate for 48 hours before he gives his sample. Sadly I'm going out of town Friday so I won't be getting laid until Sunday

Sigh, I have a LOT to do this week before I can enjoy the weekend and I have very little to keep me going except maybe the free donut on Friday with that crazy Chips Ahoy iced coffee concoction. Today is the my first day back at my desk since 2 Friday's ago and my statistics class has A LOT going on this week. An exam, several assignments, a particularly confusing discussion board post, etc.. Whoever said summer classes were more laid back must have not given the memo to my professor.

I'm going to a festival this weekend for vegans and vegetarians. Several friends will be going with us, so that should be fun. On Sunday it will be 76 so while FH is at band practice I'll probably go on a walk on a trail near my house.

Should be an awesome time!  We're cheering for the Hawks at this point too. 

I admit, we sold our Round 1 Game 7 Avalanche tickets last year.  FI had to be out of town for work so we ended up selling them and made enough that paid for all the other earlier Round 1 games and the beers.
