Flamingo Garden Ceremony, In Suite to follow

We will be getting married Sept. 5 2015 at the Flamingo garden gazebo. It will be at 11:00 am and I am crossing my fingers it is not too warm at that time. I had fans made and will have water set out for guests just in case.

My real concern is dealing with getting everyone up to the suite without it being a fiasco. It is going to be a short reception as it is early afternoon with cake, finger foods and beverages.

Anyone have any experience/tips dealing with gatherings at the suites in the Flamingo?

I am a Flamingo gazebo bride in Oct, so I will also be anxiously awaiting replies!

OKAY! I can KIND of give some perspective here!

The gazebo is hidden BEHIND the garden chapel itself. Just tell your clients to follow the signs, and then go right when they get to the garden chapel building. There's a path that curves around to the right that hugs towards the building, where it opens up to the little lawn area and the chapel. When we saw it, it was in direct sunlight, but there's a lot more shade than it actually seems. It's also really close to the pool (surrounded by all the greenery), which may help to keep it a little cooler, and for an 11 am ceremony, you should be just fine because the real heat probably won't kick up and bake in that area until probably around 2:30.

That being said....

Getting people from the chapel to the suite should be pretty easy. Task your wedding party, coordinator, or immediate family/closest friends with the task of sharing the suite number and directions throughout the party. Get them all to go as a group ("main elevators, floor 7, room 22") or what have you, and have big names (mom/dad/brother/sister) who aren't part of your photos to help with stragglers/act as reminders by the elevators in case you're doing a photo tour in between.

Or, if you're a tech-savvy group, mass text messages. Or if you've got time and have the suite a couple days before, get business cards pre-printed with a blank spot and hand-write the room number and floor on every business card, then hand them out at the ceremony (be it through your DOC or having them sat on chairs or what have you).

Thank you, Google Maps! Luckily from our scouting trip last month, I've got kind of a feel for it and can give some guidelines. It's definitely easy to find the wedding chapel & gazebo itself (literally follow the signs and then go right). They'll probably even put out signage for you at the front of the chapel (or you can ask the coordinators to do it).

I'm still trying to figure out the get-them-to-the-suite thing for ourselves, as I don't know if we're going to have our suite in advance or the day of, so these are some of the plans of action I'm working on. I also have the added confusion of having our two families never meeting prior to the wedding!
