Another tipping question

Our wedding planner workers for a big business planning company. Should we and how much should we tip her? Also the musicians at the church all are paid, but do they all get tipped in addition to their fee? We are required to use specific musicians.

Re: Another tipping question

  • I think @CMGragain may possibly know the answer to the second portion of the question.

  • I personally feel tips are never required but always appreciated. Have some money set aside for these people. If you love their work and the element they added to your wedding; feel free to tip. If you don't feel they were very good, or some incident happened, or everyone was just doing the minimum required, then I wouldn't tip.
  • I'm not exactly sure what the proper etiquette is; however, we have money set aside to tip our soloist and organist after the ceremony.

  • If your planner did an amazing job, no reason you can't tip her as an extra way to say thank you. Same goes for the musicians.

Agree, tips not required, but appreciated.

I believe in tipping because someone did a good job and you want to thank them, not because you feel obligated to.

I would tip both the planner and the musicians, should you feel it appropriate.
