Nothing puts your life in perspective like hearing someone has cancer.

Friends of ours who are engaged just found out the guy has cancer.   Their wedding is this weekend.  He then starts his chemo the following Monday.   They're in their 30s.  Just when everything was sunshine and roses and they're glowing non-stop - this happens.   Man how your perspective can change in an instant.

Life just sucks sometimes.  And it always seems to save the biggest disasters for times when everything seems to be going so well.

Good thoughts to them. I heard the dreaded "you have cancer" at 34. It sucked, but at least for right now, I'm in remission
