Married Pt 2 6/27: Aria Chapel/ Gin and Sake/ Imagine/ Maggianos/ AWG Shuttle/ Liquid

So sorry for the delay but we just got our photos so I felt I could enhance the reviews with visuals.

Aria Chapel: A++++
I was sooo worried about this pick, especially about the photography, flowers, music, etc. Marcela was GREAT! I got lucky- she was coordinator throughout AND she was there for my ceremony. The flowers along the aisle were a beautiful touch. She even pulled me out prior to guests coming in to make sure everything was to my liking. There was NO hesitation about outside photography. Brandon from Gin and Sake came back and forth to take pre-wedding photos so we didn't have to worry about photos after. Everything was everything I imagined it to be.

Gin and Sake: A+++++++
Just look at the photos. They were awesome. Book them.

Imagine- C
Imagine is the new photography services at Aria. I was highly annoyed at the poses and look our photographer was trying to attempt. We haven't been contacted yet either. I was not impressed and cut the photography session short. (It helped because I knew Gin and Sake would come through with the better pictures)

AWG Shuttle: B
We requested two shuttles- one for the non immediate family and guests to immediately travel to the reception after the ceremony and one for just family. They were late and there was alot of miscommunication about pick up locations. The shuttles themselves were nice and clean though. On the way back to the hotel from the reception, we ordered one giant bus. That was quite an adventure with 40+ drunk and wild wedding guests!!

Maggianos- A/ B+
Food, location, communication= excellent. However, the elevator broke down and the AC turned on and off throughout the reception. Our bartender actually gave shots to our guests (a big no written in our contract) and then got in trouble mid reception. We coordinated floral from Pam the Palette (A+) and DJ services from All Night Long (A+). We upgraded to the Calabria and Dicarla room for dancing which I am really glad we did. It made the reception feel more open and spacious.

Sunday:

Liquid Pool- A+++
On Sunday, we hosted a pool party for our guests at Liquid pool at Aria. We splurged and got a large private cabana that came with a private mini pool. This was the highlight of our wedding weekend. I have had guests call me every day since to tell me how amazing the pool party was. Liquid did everything and anything to make sure our party was a good time.

    Here are some more pictures of Maggiano's to eye the space! We had 45 guests, not including photographers and DJ!

  • OMGGGGG Gorgeous!!!! <3
  • Those photos are amazing, and oh my god that cake!!! Huge congrats, your day sounds awesome!
  • If you don't mind me asking did you give gratuity to any of the servers or bartenders at maggiano's?  I am not sure what to do as the contract says:
    "The 20% event fee is an administrative fee retained entirely by Maggiano's for the staffing, set up and administration expenses related to hosting your function.  The event fee is not considered a tip, because it is not distributed to servers, bartenders or other service employees working your function.  However, our servers working your function receive a higher hourly rate of pay, so a gratuity is not required"

    Thank you all!!

    @TXVegas15 I have nothing but positive things to say about Gin and Sake. Their prices were reasonable but we also knew from their past photos that we wanted them no matter what. I especially liked that the price includes ALL photos retouched on a digital CD AND we had it mailed to us by the time we came back from the honeymoon.

    @jdaigle44 We gave gratuity to the individuals while they were working our function instead of writing it on top of the bill. They did an awesome job.
  • Where did you have AWG pick you up at the Aria? I'm trying to arrange transport but not familiar with that hotel

    @silverblade005 this was the trickiest. The AWG shuttle is too big and won't pick up right in front of the hotel soooo they pick up under the main valet area (right by where the taxi cab line is). If you are looking at the hotel driving in, it's on the left of the fountain, closer to mandarin. You have to take the escalator or elevator down to the bus garage level and that's where the shuttles picked up/ dropped off.

    Sorry for long response but no one clarified for us where this pickup/ drop off was, and I didn't appreciate the mini stress. Hope this helps for you. Overall, it is really easy to get to if you know where you are supposed to go!!!
