    Thank you everyone! 

    I DID end up wearing my dress to the hotel and I was really glad I did (I really didn't want to take it off at all). We did get some nice comments (as well as some awkward fist-pumping/"you go man!" activity directed at FI-now-husband, which was so weird). And we did stay for the entire reception, which was good because man it felt too short as it was!

    I plan on wearing my gown as long as possible. Rather be at my reception partying than changing.

    Not weird at all.  It is perfectly fine to wear your dress to the hotel!
