    Definitely lurk. Read a few threads and get a feel for the boards and the posting style of people here. The boards are divided into categories, so if you have a specific question, try to post it on the appropriate board.

    Agreed. Lurk and read all of the stickies at the top of each board. I was new not too long ago and that's what I did. It helped a lot. Welcome! Why don't you tell us a little about yourself :)

    Welcome! Like other posters have said, take some time to click through various boards, read the stickies (the posts at the top of each board), read through some threads to get an idea of how people interact on here. It's also super helpful to read through some of the boards so you know what questions get asked over and over, so you don't ask the same question (people can get impatient answering the same questions a hundred times). Be aware that people on this forum offer blunt advice; take it as it is and try not to get offended by straightforward tones.

    Also, change your username - Knottie#'s are hard to keep straight.

    Also, tell us a little about yourself! What's your favorite food? Do you prefer cats or dogs (or turtles)? 

    ETA: If you read through some of the threads on the Snarky Brides board, you should get a sense of what that means. Some people (like myself) really enjoy the posters and the threads on there, but it's not for everyone.

    I got a very warm welcome when I first posted on the boards, I also lurked for months before I posted anything and introduced myself when I did start posting.  Get a feel for the tone and attitude of the boards, read the stickies for "oh ffs, not question again" questions.

    You'll want to be more specific, my advice to navigate is to get a GPS or hire Sacagawea.
