Because I don't feel like working...

1. What sports/ clubs/ activities did you do in high school? Cross Country & Student Council

2. Which band/ artist have you seen live the most times? Foo Fighters (4)

3. What shoes are you currently wearing? Flat sandals that the bride bought me to wear in her wedding a few months ago

4. Favorite ice cream flavor? Chocolate ice cream with caramel swirls & brownie bits.

5. What are you looking forward to in the next month? Closing on our new house and H's birthday

6. If you won the lottery where would you live? DH and I got into a tif about this because I love being around people so I said a highrise condo overlooking the beach in San Diego. He hates people and said a 50 acre ranch in Montana. I could learn to live with his, as long as I got beach vacations a few times per year lol

    I'm incredibly bored too.

    1. What sports/ clubs/ activities did you do in high school? None. Unless smoking a lot of pot counts? I didn't even really go to class all that often. 

    2. Which band/ artist have you seen live the most times? Rolling Stones. Not sure exactly how many times but I'd say between 15-20.

    3. What shoes are you currently wearing? Flat strappy sandals.

    4. Favorite ice cream flavor? Plain old vanilla. Baskin Robbins has a golden oreo churro flavor right now that's pretty fucking great.

    5. What are you looking forward to in the next month? FOOTBALL SEASON!!!

    6. If you won the lottery where would you live?  Northwestern Montana. We plan to do that anyway.

    I'm avoiding work..

     

    1. What sports/ clubs/ activities did you do in high school? As little as possible. I think I was in yearbook.

    2. Which band/ artist have you seen live the most times? None (I'm not a concert person)

    3. What shoes are you currently wearing? Mint flats from target

    4. Favorite ice cream flavor? Pretty much anything tbh. I think Nutella ice cream might be the top.  

    5. What are you looking forward to in the next month? Hmm. Nothing in particular. More hot weather, and a long weekend.

    6. If you won the lottery where would you live? I'd probably move just south of where we are now. Its a small 'town' (5m away), with gorgeous houses on a lake. And then spend all the rest of the time vacationing.

    5. What are you looking forward to in the next month? Nothing really.  Except for the month to be over.   July and August are the busiest months of the year for DH.  I do not get to see him much.

    6. If you won the lottery where would you live?  We would have a few house.  A beach somewhere, the mountains and maybe a small condo in NYC.







    What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

    I'm bored too. Extra-slow week at work.

    1. What sports/ clubs/ activities did you do in high school? Nothing. I was apathetic. I'd never get into college these days.

    2. Which band/ artist have you seen live the most times? The Cure (x3)

    3. What shoes are you currently wearing? I'm actually wearing my wedding shoes! They're metallic shimmer ballet flats, today paired with jeans and a t-shirt.

    4. Favorite ice cream flavor? Oh this is difficult. Probably coffee. Or maybe cookies and cream, or Cherry Garcia.

    5. What are you looking forward to in the next month? Hopefully some weekend hiking and backpacking trips with H, and my brother is getting married the last weekend in August.

    6. If you won the lottery where would you live? In the summer: a cabin in the Rocky Mountains (like Montana or Wyoming). In the winter: Kauai.

    1. What sports/ clubs/ activities did you do in high school? Field Hockey for two years and marching band for four.

    2. Which band/ artist have you seen live the most times? Nsync (2).  I haven't been to a concert in years.  Two years ago I was going to go to the Justin Timberlake/JayZ concert but then we bought a new SUV so I just couldn't justify (no pun intended) spending $400 for tickets.  Thinking back now I regret that decision so damn much.

    3. What shoes are you currently wearing? Flat sandals.

    4. Favorite ice cream flavor? Chocolate.  But I also really like the Cake Batter from Cold Stone.

    5. What are you looking forward to in the next month? I leave for vacation to Ocean City on Saturday (Aug 1st)!  My birthday is also at the end of August but I am kind of "whatever" when it comes to birthdays.

    6. If you won the lottery where would you live? Florida.  East coast but further South, probably around Fort Lauderdale area.  This is where we want to live now because H has a really good friend who lives down there and my parents are about 4 hours away while my sis is 8 (much closer then they are now which is about 10-17 hours away).  

    But we would also have a home in Vail, CO (H loves to snowboard) and then just travel a shit ton.

    1. What sports/ clubs/ activities did you do in high school? Drama, Debate, and Forensics…wow, that sounds more nerdy than it actually was.

    2. Which band/ artist have you seen live the most times? Nightwish and Sonata Arctica (3)

    3. What shoes are you currently wearing? Black ballet flats

    4. Favorite ice cream flavor? Ben & Jerry's Phish Food. 

    5. What are you looking forward to in the next month? Nothing, actually… 

    6. If you won the lottery where would you live? Hawaii. I love tropical/beach settings and being away from people (i.e. the mainland)

    Oh agreed! Work is so slow this week, especially since this weekend is a long weekend, it always seems to take forever to get here! 

    1. What sports/ clubs/ activities did you do in high school? A bunch of friends decided at 15 to take dance. We were the oldest at the dance school and by far the most uncoordinated. These little girls danced circles around us. I was also in Sea Cadets until i was 16. I was pretty darn cool.... 

    2. Which band/ artist have you seen live the most times? umm. I think the only band I have seen more than once is Rise Against, and its only because they played at two different festivals I went to. 

    3. What shoes are you currently wearing? Mint GoWalk Sketchers

    4. Favorite ice cream flavor? Salted Caramel Gelato. Drooooooool. Was actually randomly recommended to me by the liquor store clerk. 

    5. What are you looking forward to in the next month? Well we are 44 days out from the wedding, so I am looking forward to just being done with all the planning! 

    6. If you won the lottery where would you live? Back to our home province of Alberta to be closer to all our family and friends. So exciting I know. I just want to move back so bad! I hate being 8-12 hours away from all my family, inlaws, friends etc.

    Like @teddygirl9, I'm also avoiding work. I've got tons to do but no motivation.

    Because I don't feel like working...

    1. What sports/ clubs/ activities did you do in high school? I was in band, marching band, pit orchestra for the musicals, and National Honor Society. I was a huge dork in high school - still sort of am.

    2. Which band/ artist have you seen live the most times? Death Cab for Cutie (3)

    3. What shoes are you currently wearing? Basic black flats

    4. Favorite ice cream flavor? Right now, it's the Spectacular Speculoos cookie core flavor from Ben & Jerry's - caramel and vanilla ice creams with cookie bits and a cookie butter core. I'll also never turn down good ol' fashion chocolate or vanilla. 

    5. What are you looking forward to in the next month? Not much - there's a huge wine and beer festival going on in August that we go to every year, and we'll probably go on some picnics and little adventures but nothing big and exciting. Our first anniversary is in September and every hotel that I wanted to go to is booked for that weekend, so I'm bummed about that. 

    6. If you won the lottery where would you live? I would live anywhere that has warm winters and allows me to see the water every morning when I wake up.

    @shessocold You're my idol both for the Stones and the high school experience. We would have been best friends. I did soccer and cheerleading in junior high and then once I reached high school I quit those so I could smoke a lot of pot hahahah. Everyone thought we were "preps" in student council but really we'd pick each other up for meetings and smoke on the way there.

    1. What sports/ clubs/ activities did you do in high school? Track & Field (Field really... discus and shotput), Soccer, Marching and concert band, FCS (Fellowship of Christian Students... I used to love me some Jesus), CSF (I forget totally what this stood for but it was for us dorky smart kids).  

    2. Which band/ artist have you seen live the most times? Tie between Jamie Cullum and Joe Nichols, both at 3.  Quite different really.

    3. What shoes are you currently wearing? My black patent ballet flats from Nine West that I wear all the time.

    4. Favorite ice cream flavor? Not a big ice cream eater but I love rainbow sherbet, the kind with pink, green, and orange.

    5. What are you looking forward to in the next month? Ummm I guess just getting ready for the wedding?  Actually kind of not looking forward to that part LOL  

    6. If you won the lottery where would you live? Probably a ranch in Idaho, Wyoming, or Montana.  FI is from Wyoming so probably there, but not where he's from, which is not very nice (SW corner)

    1. What sports/ clubs/ activities did you do in high school? Soccer, National Honor Society (like once a year), Mock Trial

    2. Which band/ artist have you seen live the most times? The Monkees

    3. What shoes are you currently wearing? Teva Mush flip flops

    4. Favorite ice cream flavor? Ice cream: B&J Strawberry Cheesecake.  Mostly I'm into the frozen yogurt place lately, and my fave there is salted caramel pretzel, but they also just came out with key lime which I love, but not so much with toppings... and isn't the whole point the toppings?

    5. What are you looking forward to in the next month? Thinking about going up to the state fair.  We also talked about a short "weekend" (Dh's weekends are Wed-Fri) trip to Wildwood NJ if it's affordable. 

    6. If you won the lottery where would you live? Somewhere warm but also close enough to come back home when needed.  So maybe the florida keys?  I think DH would have a totally different answer though!

Fencing, Destination Imagination, Band, Pep Band, Flute Choir, Asian Culture Club (basically an Anime club), Quiz Bowl, Symphony Band, probably other stuff I'm not remembering right now...ETA: National Honors Society, Spanish Honors Society, Music Honors Society

    2. Which band/ artist have you seen live the most times? Matchbox 20 (2)

    3. What shoes are you currently wearing? Silver flats we bought last night

    4. Favorite ice cream flavor? Chocolate chip cookie dough

    5. What are you looking forward to in the next month? Our trip to Las Vegas the first week of September

    6. If you won the lottery where would you live? We'd probably stay in Metro Detroit, most likely buy a house on the lake. What I told him we'd do if I became a successful actress ;)

    Im home, bored out of my mind and waiting for my migraine to go away. 1. What sports/ clubs/ activities did you do in high school? Dancing school. 2. Which band/ artist have you seen live the most times? Bon Jovi (2) 3. What shoes are you currently wearing? I'm barefoot at the moment. 4. Favorite ice cream flavor? Chocolate chip cookie dough 5. What are you looking forward to in the next month? Going on my honeymoon to Hawaii 6. If you won the lottery where would you live? I'd probably divide my time between a house near my family, a house in the Pocono mountains and a house or condo in Hawaii.

    1. What sports/ clubs/ activities did you do in high school? Environmental club, chorus, and some club that I can't remember the name of that basically used school funds to go to ethnic restaurants. Geeky....

    2. Which band/ artist have you seen live the most times? Ani DiFranco? Liz Phair? Not sure because I don't go to concerts so much anymore but used to go all the time.

    2. Which band/ artist have you seen live the most times? Kid Rock and Pitbull - don't judge me - Kid Rock has $20/ticket shows every year in Detroit the same weekend, which is also around my best friends birthday so we go every year.  Pitbull was amazing!  Before he was popular he always played small venues and he has so much energy!

    3. What shoes are you currently wearing? None unless you count the kitten laying on my right foot, I'm working from home today.

    4. Favorite ice cream flavor? Mackinaw Island Fudge!

    5. What are you looking forward to in the next month?   Chicago girls weekend!

    I'm in the middle of my final paper (this week) and can't finish till I hear back from my Prof.  I could have finished by now cos I've got it all in my head, I'm just not sure if it's applicable to the assignment.  Ugh 


    1. What sports/ clubs/ activities did you do in high school? Cheer team, swim team.  I also was in band and stage band

    2. Which band/ artist have you seen live the most times? Probably Radiohead, 3-4 times

    3. What shoes are you currently wearing? Bare feet, in the house

    4. Favorite ice cream flavour? Not a huge ice cream lover, but anything with caramel swirls is good.  DQ Blizzards are good too 

    5. What are you looking forward to in the next month? Finishing my second class. First one had all my final assignments handed in last night.  

    6. If you won the lottery where would you live?  Our current house in the summer, Hawaii in the winter.  I love my city, and we have a beautiful house with a fantastic yard, so I wouldn't want to give it up.  Plus, obviously, my family and friends are all here for the most part.  And summer's here kick ass.  Winter sucks, so we'd be in Hawaii from Nov - April, probably back home for Christmas

    2. Which band/ artist have you seen live the most times? Smashing Pumpkins, at least a half-dozen times. Have lost count. 

    3. What shoes are you currently wearing? Platform wedge sandals from Payless

    4. Favorite ice cream flavor? If it has a chocolate base, I'm game for anything

    5. What are you looking forward to in the next month? My friend's bachelorette party and weekend getaway TBD

    6. If you won the lottery where would you live? Europe, probably Germany. We've actually seriously discussed what it would take to retire in Europe. (Answer- a lot of investment income we don't have.)

    I bought sparkly shoes just to have them to photograph!  I did wear them for the ceremony, but mostly I just wanted Purdy pictures.

    Good. I need a break from work and I'm putting off going to the gym...

    1. What sports/ clubs/ activities did you do in high school? French club, newspaper staff, Academic Decathlon, National Honor Society, orchestra (viola)

    2. Which band/ artist have you seen live the most times? I don't think I've ever seen a band or artist more than once. Not a big live music person. I suppose the symphony orchestra from my hometown?

    3. What shoes are you currently wearing? Black and silver ballet flats that are on their way out. Old, but very comfy.

    4. Favorite ice cream flavor? Cake batter from Coldstone.

    5. What are you looking forward to in the next month? Going off the pill for the first time in years. I'm going to try charting. I've been devouring the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility, which I first heard about here on these boards.

    6. If you won the lottery where would you live? This is a hard question. Maybe somewhere by an ocean. A big east coast mansion maybe. DH would choose Pittsburgh for constant Steelers games.

    2. Which band/ artist have you seen live the most times? Not sure I've ever seen anyone more than once, not much of a concert person

    3. What shoes are you currently wearing? khaki flip flops (the leather strap kind not just foam)

    4. Favorite ice cream flavor? anything with peanut butter and chocolate candies/chunks

    5. What are you looking forward to in the next month? Nothing really....need to fix that

    6. If you won the lottery where would you live? Depends on how much I win! I don't think I'd move necessarily but definitely get a beach vacation place

    1. What sports/ clubs/ activities did you do in high school? Cross Country, Volleyball and Track. No activities.

    2. Which band/ artist have you seen live the most times? Third Eye Blind (3)

    3. What shoes are you currently wearing? cute black strappy wedge sandals from Express. I like them because they make the fun heel noise like heels and give a little lift but I can actually walk in them.

    4. Favorite ice cream flavor? This changes often but right now I'm into Salted Caramel

    5. What are you looking forward to in the next month? My brother is visiting tonight! And a cousin and close friend are having weddings in the next month.

    6. If you won the lottery where would you live? I'm with @kvruns, I don't think I'd move locations, but just get a nicer home and definitely a beach cottage somewhere beautiful.

    1. What sports/ clubs/ activities did you do in high school? I was in a competitive dance team. But I was homeschooled so it wasn't a "school" thing.

    2. Which band/ artist have you seen live the most times? Local bands that I've seen 1,000,000 times. 

    3. What shoes are you currently wearing? I'm barefoot (I'm currently at home).

    4. Favorite ice cream flavor? I LOVE ice cream so I have favorites from different ice cream shops: Baskin Robbins: Mint chocolate chip and chocolate chip cookie dough (I don't really like chocolate so I eat around the chips) Friendly's: Cotton Candy and Butter Crunch. Coldstone: Cake Batter.

    5. What are you looking forward to in the next month? I'm going to see Marilyn Manson on the 2nd, my birthday and our cake tasting (YAY!) is the next weekend, I finally finish the semester from hell after that. On the last week of August FI took a vacation week so we're going back to the florist to make final decisions and hope spend a few days at the beach. 

    6. If you won the lottery where would you live? FI and I would probably want to move around a lot. We want to live on the beach and then we'd probably settle in the Pacific Northwest, like in Seattle or Portland. And probably have a home in Florida to retreat to.

    My high school didn't even have many things, like @maggie0829 I always wanted to play field hockey but my school didn't have it.

    @kimmiandkoley aaaw kitten!!

    @sal2015 I read half the book then gave up. But I did start charting in March and I'm enjoying it, it's neat to actually know my schedule.

    1. What sports/ clubs/ activities did you do in high school? Marching band and jazz band. I was the only girl in the trombone section which was pretty cool (although being called "boners" got old). Lol.

    2. Which band/ artist have you seen live the most times? Tie between Third Eye Blind and the Foo Fighters (both twice). Two of my favorites!

    3. What shoes are you currently wearing? Black wedges but I'd rather be in flip-flops any day.

    4. Favorite ice cream flavor? Umm...all of them? If I had to choose, shout out to whoever said Ben and Jerry's Phish Food.

    5. What are you looking forward to in the next month? Can we go ahead and skip to October already? DH and I are taking a trip to the Great Smoky Mountains (staying in a cabin and everything!) for our 1 year anniversary.

    6. If you won the lottery where would you live? Somewhere tropical...and then maybe have a private jet so I could go to ALL the tropical places.

    Swim team, downhill and cross-country ski team, track - 2 mile & shotput, German club, chorus (I can't carry a tune on my own, though).

    2. Which band/ artist have you seen live the most times? 

    I don't go to concerts too often but I have seen Airborne Toxic Event twice.  At the end of the second concert the lead singer put on a Boston accent and yelled: go home and make Boston babies, go home and make wicked smaahht Boston babies

    3. What shoes are you currently wearing? 

    The blue flats I've worn almost every day since May (okay that sounds kinda gross).

    4. Favorite ice cream flavor? 

    Most of them.  Rum raisin, pear, any aggressive chocolate, strawberry, raspberry, Chunky Monkey.

    5. What are you looking forward to in the next month? 

    Hopefully getting the job I've been pursuing so I can give my notice and take a few weeks off.  In September: moving into our old-new country house in NH.

    6. If you won the lottery where would you live? 

    I'd probably live in the same place but I'd be taking a LOT more vacations.  I'd put aside $ for H to build a garage and barn. Buy a lake camp in Maine or northern NH.  I'd fly to see my grandfather once a month, see my brother in Carmel, go to Lake Louise, ski or snowmobile every winter weekend, visit my friend in Germany every month, go to Alaska, Wyoming, Montana, Colombia, ski in Chile in the summer, go to Istanbul, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland.
