Are gray bridesmaids dresses with gray suits too much gray?

I have been going back and forth about my girls wearing navy or gray with light pink hydrangeas as flowers. If my fiance and his groomsmen wear gray and I pick gray for the girls, is that too much?

Re: Are gray bridesmaids dresses with gray suits too much gray?

  • Not at all.  Gray is a nice neutral color that will allow your flowers to really pop.  Remember that the guys will be wearing white shirts, which will help break up the gray suit, and you can also buy them all a specific colored tie to not only tie in your wedding colors but to also add a bit more color to their attire.

  • Nope.  Some friends of ours just got married and they had everyone in gray, with orange accents.  It looked nice.

  • Thank you so much. I really think the grey on grey is very light and pretty for summer so I appreciate your feedback. If the flowers have light pink and the guys wear a light pink tie, is that a good option?

I think that is a very nice option.  Also keep in mind that the greys do not have to match.  The guys could be in a dark grey suit and the girls could be in a lighter grey.  This will help break up all the grey and give a bit more depth to the overall look.
