First Post, had to share this etiquette nightmare!

Hello lovely ladies!

I've been lurking on the etiquette boards for advice for my upcoming wedding and have really found it helpful on here.  This is my first post.  I'm from Scotland BTW.

When I recently Googled "Wedding Website Examples" I found one full of so many etiquette fails I just had to share it with you.  Let me know if you want the link.

Anyhoo....

1. Wedding ceremony in church at 11.30am.  Stated in timeline that Bride "may decide" to show up 9 minutes later.
2. 'Reception' following ceremony of cakes whereupon the Bridal party will depart 10 minutes after receiving their guests.
3. Guests are asked to bring cakes to for-mentioned 'reception' where "there may even be a little prize!" for best cake.
4. "Wonderful kind hearted people" (volunteer for this honour via the website) will clear up the church and rearrange chairs etc while....
5. Bridal party depart for their reception while guests are given a list of "wonderful things to keep you busy!" during the 6 hour gap.
6. Reception begins at 7pm with no mention of food apart from a vague mention on the 'blog' which mostly consists of complaints about RSVPs being late.  (Really, WTF)
7. At least 50 guests are out of town so they will have to travel and pay for hotels.
8. Once again a request for volunteers to clear up the evening venue of decorations etc, but don't worry!  The Bridesmaids will be co-ordinating this and cleaners have been hired so it won't be too taxing.
9. A total of 5 different jobs to 'sign up' for including set-up and break-down of the venues, bringing cakes and providing entertainment.
10. AND OF COURSE THERE'S A HONEYFUND!  They have had "so much fun" putting it together!

Cheers ladies, hope you enjoyed...

Sarah
