Hey, I'm KUI as well! What led to 'das boot', and what has followed it?

Also, do you go into a day planning to drink, or do you find it just happens?

My MIL left yesterday afternoon, and we had no plans after that. We rode our bikes to get lunch (and a drink - raspberry lemonade for me), and then to our favorite little german place which has a patio on the creek that runs through town. Through the app 'Belly' DH had a free 'das boot' so that was the deciding factor!

Most weekend days we do at least a little day drinking. That's what happens when you've got no kids and no plans!

I had a carafe of sangria yesterday, so have been nursing a wine hangover all day.

@speakeasy14 - I started with a raspberry (vodka) lemonade. Then moved on to the das boot, then Bud Light. I stopped after that (luckily) so there was no hangover. This is the saddest AMA I've ever seen, though.

What's your funniest drunk story?

Oh god, I have a LOT of them. Funniest was probably the night my best friend and I were walking home from the bars. There's a linear parking lot next to the main street, so we were walking through that, and only about 100 yards from our house. A police officer pulls up and rolls down his window and asks if we're okay. I was only 20, so I kind of freaked out, and first ran down the hill towards the road, then decided that was a bad idea. I laid down in the grass, but it wasn't tall enough to cover me, so I stood behind a street sign. In my head, I literally thought that the cop couldn't see me. Instead, he thought I'd lost my mind and my BF had to talk him into not taking me in. We still laugh about that one.

Wine or cider beer.

Captain & Coke

Have you ever used a men's room when the women's line was too long?

Yep. I have no shame.

What do you think of people wearing sweatpants and heels?

That literally makes no sense. If you want to be comfortable so badly that you'll wear sweatpants, then why wouldn't you wear flats?

Do you people watch when you're out? If so, best character you've seen at a bar/restaurant?

Hmmm. I personally enjoyed watching these two people at happy hour a few weeks ago. The guy was maybe 25 and the woman was easily 45 (and not particularly attractive. The guy was cute.). The dynamic between them was weeeeeeird. They were obviously co-workers (from their loud conversation), and they were both drunk. But there was this weird sexual tension between them, too. DH and I were mesmerized.

Which is better drunk sex or angry sex?

Drunk. DH and I don't regularly get angry with each other, and if we do, there is rarely sex involved.

How do you feel about Uggs and Ugg type boots with shorts?

I'm not a huge Uggs fan to begin with, but I really don't get Uggs with shorts. Similar to the sweatpants/heels questions... if it's cold enough to wear Uggs, then why are you wearing shorts? If it's hot enough to be wearing shorts, then why are you wearing Uggs?

When is your next StitchFix? Anything special you're hoping for?

It is on its way to me right now!! I'm hoping for some cute tops for fall. I looked up what's coming, and there was one that looks really cute, but of course that's the one that costs almost $100! So we'll see!!!

What was your favorite college experience?

Oh wow. College was awesome for so many reasons. Having my best friends live within 20 feet of me, going to college football games, working at the campus radio station, becoming a college sports public address announcer. I guess the best thing was making life-long friends... we're working on our 18th annual reunion right now!

What was your most embarrassing college experience?

The good thing about college was that if I did something embarrassing, it was probably because I was too drunk to remember what it was

Would you ever get plastic surgery?  If you had to get one thing done, what would you pick?

If you could go back in time and meet your H earlier in life would you?   

Nope. DH was married before, so that would have been terrible timing, and before he met his first wife, I still had a lot of learning about myself to do. We met at the absolute perfect time.

If you did go back in time, what three pieces of advice would you give yourself?

1-You're enough, stop trying to be more to satisfy other people.
2-Study abroad.
3-Give it a go as a sports broadcaster.

Would you ever get plastic surgery?  If you had to get one thing done, what would you pick?

Hell yes. I fully plan on getting my boobs done in the next five years. #2 would be my nose, but I would always worry I'd end up like Jennifer Gray and look like a completely different person, so I think I'll just stick to the boobs.

If you could own one masterpiece (book, art, etc.) what would you choose and why?

I would love to own a beautiful sculpture. Something that I could have in my (large, obvi) backyard. Something that changes with the light and where you're looking at it from.
