Not sure if anyone else posted this yet, but jumped on my local news site and saw this story - mentions TK :)


Ouch .. that's pretty rough considering it was a package wedding.

    I truly feel bad for them, but I probably would have taken the earlier slot.  Based on their statements, they seem really attached to their "vision."

    I'd be more worried about what kind of impact it would have on my guests as opposed to whether or not I got married in the evening versus the morning.

    To be fair, they probably had a half hour conversation with the reporter, and only the "best" clips for the story's narrative were used.

    I'd personally be devastated, and I absolutely wouldn't take the other slot. Even if it was for another evening the day before or after.....I would be so disgusted with those people I wouldn't be able to do business with them.

    Of course, I have NO idea what I would do after that. Besides being an emotional wreck.

    Maybe I'd take the earlier spot if I could find nothing else. Were they using the same DJ as the other couple too, and they can make another cake. But the comments from the manager (we've offered their deposit back) are annoying. No Shit you offered their deposit back, this was your mistake. the venue should pay for their DJ and cake still, even if they can find another venue. 

    I honestly can't figure out how this happens. I had some many conversations with the coordinator at the venue, that a computer glitch would have to be figured out sooner than 3 weeks.

    If you read the comments, this has happened before. People are saying the venue is only telling them 3 weeks before so they have no other choice. Write a horrible review and make sure other couple's know about this. 

    It's happened 3 times in 3 months, sounds super shady.

    I feel so awful for the them. My first thought is, why are they forced to move their wedding instead of the other couple? How is that decided? By who booked first or who is spending more money?

    Regardless, completely horrible situation, and this is why it is so important to read reviews.
