Girl Groups

I am very close to four women I've known since at least high school or longer. One moved away and the other three have kids, so we don't hang out frequently. But, they're the friends that you can go months without talking yet pick up right where you left off.
My best friend is someone else from college though. We see each other every week and text frequently.

Yes, and they are honestly one of the biggest blessings of my life! I have a group of five girl friends that I literally went to school K-12 with (well, minus one who joined us in 4th grade) and we are all very close still. Love those gals so much.   

I don't really have close guy friends, outside of H and my brother. I'm not sure why.

I do not have a close group of girls in my life, I never have.  I've always been a little bit of a loaner and my friend groups have drifted over time and never stayed consistent.  I view my friends more in terms of quality than quantity.  

Honestly, DH is my best friend.  We enjoy doing a multitude of things together and in general, just being together.  I do have a best girl friend too who I see about every week and other close girl friend, but she recently moved a few hours away so it's difficult to keep up as much as we used to.  Other than that I have a handful of other friends but we aren't as close and don't get together as frequently.  

I'm ok not having a "girl group" because the close friends I have are very close friends.  I know they'd do anything for me and vice versa, that's all I need.

I have a group of 5 girls who I am very close to, one being my sister.  We all have been friends in some way for the last 15-20 years (some relationships started earlier or later, but we're all super tight).

H & I also have a number of different circles that we hang out with, most of which are couples or co-ed so lots of men & women friends in them all.  Some of the women I am closer to than others, some of the guys I'm closer to than the women, but they are all really awesome folks that I know would have our backs if the shit ever went down.

Yes, I have a girlfriend.  Just one 'gal pal' for me.
Seriously though, I was in a female group of friends a few years ago, but we cut ties.  Now I do not have any super close friendships but a few through a group I go to as well as my girlfriend's friends.  Generally, I find it hard to open up to someone; honestly, I am very shy and have a RBF, so I have trouble making friends.

No.  I have female friends and some of them know each other, but I wouldn't say we are a "group."
