pranking my hubby with a fake ultrasound

A couple of weeks ago, I saw a news on my FB page about a teenage girl who fooled her bf that she's carrying twins using the fake pregnancy gag gifts on "FakeaBaby". I know it's cruel, but my hubby and I are still TTC but now I want to pull off a fake ultrasound prank to him. Want to see what his reaction may be when he finds out and when I disclose to him that everything's a joke. Wanna see his reaction and perhaps capture it on cam! Any suggestions to make it more hilarious and fun is appreciated.

Gonna go ahead and call MUD on this... I don't believe anyone could possibly think this isa good idea.

ETA: On the off chance this is real, this is not a prank. It is not fun, nor is it hilarious. Especially considering you are actively trying to conceive, this is basically just a hurtful lie to get someone's hopes up. Can you imagine how awful you'd feel if roles were reversed and someone took advantage of your excitement and anxiousness to become a parent, told you it was happening and then took that away from you?

I should have known better than to click on this.  Maybe I'm being overly sensitive since it has been one year since we started to TTC and I'm currently waiting to miscarry our first pregnancy, but this is so fucking rude and insensitive to everyone involved.

Have some fucking respect for your husband's feelings.  Think how HURT (and disappointed) he will be when he finds out you were "pranking" him.  And you want to film it?!?!  Why would you want to film that unless you plan on posting it to social media?!?! Words just can't describe what a horrible thing you will be doing to your husband.

My sister TTC for 3 years before getting pg with my beautiful niece. It was stressful, emotional, disappointing and hard on their marriage at times. This service and post is disgusting. I'm not even sure if I ever want to join team mom but this infuriates me. If this in fact real, I ditto all of the PPs and just remember, now you're the boy who cried wolf and you've just ruined the real moment for your H because he will not believe or trust you. Who would do this to someone they love?

As someone who has been TTC for nearly 4 years and had a failed IVF a year ago, I find this deplorable and reprehensible. You disgust me.

For the record, as someone who has never been TTC, I find this gross.  It's not just the people struggling with TTC.  Here are examples of things that are actually pranks:
*Covering their car in post-its
*Putting an airhorn behind a door so the knob hits it when you open the door
*Subbing toothpaste for the filling in Oreos

Things that aren't pranks:
*Faking a pregnancy to someone you allegedly love and respect who is presumably excited about having a baby since you're actively trying to conceive by showing them a dummy ultrasound, meaning you would have also been lying for weeks to months if it were actually true since most OBs around here at least don't do the first ultrasound until 20 weeks in (sometimes earlier if you're high risk), so you can get a reaction out of them that you can attention whore for like 5 minutes of internet notoriety.

Yeah, I really don't see humor in fucking with the trust and emotions of the person I love and respect enough to marry and have babies with, let alone on a subject as serious as bringing another human being into the world.  Plus, all of my friends' husbands were at their ultrasound appointments with them (or my male friends went to the u/s appointment with their wives) and were ridiculously excited to do so, so your "prank" also lets him believe that you robbed him of that opportunity, even for just a few minutes until you "reveal the "truth".  I honestly can't even imagine wanting my SO to feel like that for even a minute.  Just...ick.

OP -  You are a sad and pathetic person.  There are so many ladies on this board, me included, who are having trouble even trying to get pregnant.  And here you are making it out to be a joke.  I can only hope that you yourself end up having no fertility issues, because I know the anguish that will go through your mind when you realize the cruel joke you played on your H and then you cannot get pregnant.  I hope you are not a real person and are just here trying to stir up MUD.

I'm so sorry for those who here who have experienced miscarriage or infertility.  I can't imagine your heartache, and even as someone without fertility issues, this whole idea is disgusting.

I mean, I'm almost positive the OP is just MUD, BUT the linked website seems real, so apparently some people think this is a good idea.  How disturbing.

Oh, the website is very real- there was a story recently about a high schooler who faked a pregnancy with triplets by using the site. HOW someone gets away with it is just wild to me, but the fact that people think this is funny or acceptable is just......beyond me......

OP, if you are real, you are one truly horrible human being for even thinking that this would be a funny thing to do.  I know a lot of SS's use this line on many of us regs, but I think it is appropriate in regards to OP...I feel sorry for your husband.
