Wow, that's cool.  Is Rocca catholic?
yep. He went to a Jesuit school.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • Mo was also on "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" and has often been on the tasting panel for "Iron Chef America". I adore his quirky awkwardness.

Wait, nevermind. Mo wasn't on that, he was on one of those other late 90s/early 00s lifestyle review things. One of the VH1 ones, maybe? (Don't mind me, been working straight through since 7am. Averaging 4 cups of coffee per hour. I might be delirious as my coworkers look like sparkly unicorns. Please send help.)

I wonder if this is a sign (please!) that the Catholic church will FINALLY start allowing gays to marry?

Unlikely. I think it'll be a while before there are any actual changes to doctrine. However, I think Francis is trying to get Catholics (and Christians and pretty much everyone else) to stop being assholes about marriage equality and start focusing on the stuff Jesus *actually* cared about - like caring for the disenfranchised, being good and compassionate people, and all that stuff the uber conservatives have no use for.

That's a fair assumption. He's not going to change the church's teaching on marriage or sex or birth control but I think he's also reminding us that we all should do better.

Many conservatives need a kick in the parts about charitable nature. I think his words we're perfect.

Absolutely not. No chance of this happening any time soon.

His message on lots of social issues isn't "church policy is wrong and should change" so much as it is "are we focusing on compassion and love as much as we could be? Should the church really be know as a strident voice in opposition to gay marriage or in support of refugees?"
