Mandalay Bay In-Suite Reception Advice

I just booked the Juno Garden at Caesar's Palace for my Vow Renewal in Sept 2016 and now need to get the reception booking started. From reviews I have narrowed it down to the Vista Suite at Mandalay Bay & using Masterpiece for food. Does anyone have any tips or advice about using any of these vendors? To anyone who had their reception in the Vista Suite do you recommend booking it for the night before your wedding as well?

Re: Mandalay Bay In-Suite Reception Advice

  • Mandalay Bay and the Delano are very "don't ask, don't tell" about outside vendors and Masterpiece has loads of rave reviews on here.

As for booking it the night before, it depends on when the reception is going to start and how much time you need to set up. It could be risky if check-in time is only a few hours before your reception.
  • Rule of thumb is to brave it and book it for both nights. It'll give you a lot more piece of mind and comfort getting vendors in/out and things set up. We're... not following this rule, but we're also more of an elopement with guests, so I'm not sweatin' it.

  • I just had my reception in the Vista Suite catered by Masterpiece, and they are both fabulous! I would absolutely advise booking the suite for both nights. While we were fortunate to get an early check-in, that does not always happen. You will be very grateful to have it for both nights so you have time to settle in and get the room ready. Everything always takes longer than what you plan for!

I would recommend giving Scott or Chris a call at Masterpiece. They are both incredibly helpful and have worked in that suite many many times, so they know it like the back of their hands. Masterpiece is one vendor that you can rely on to do exactly what they say and make it happen beautifully. You won't regret hiring them. See my reviews on here for more insights on both vendors, and please let me know if you have any more questions!

  • Thank you! I have spoken with Chris, he has been super helpful. My plan as of now is to book both nights. We have a 6:00PM ceremony, but I am just afraid that if we cannot get into the room until 3PM and have to rush around trying to get it set up I'll end up having an anxiety attack!
  • Of course! We also had a 6pm ceremony AT Mandalay Bay, and I cannot even fathom checking in that afternoon, even with an early check-in. The little bit of extra money is sooo worth not having the headaches and anxiety.
