Need help with finding a designer of a dress

Hello all.

I have found a dress that I just love but of course it is listed on one of these not reputable sites and while I like the cost I do not want to be taken advantage of and am wondering if anyone can help me find the designer of this dress.

Thank you

Jessica

It is Puebla by Pronovias from 2012.  So you will most likely only find it preowned.

I checked on preownedweddingdresses.com but they did not have any listings for this dress.  I am not sure of any other reputable sites though.

I am assuming you haven't tried this dress on.  It is a pretty unique style and I would be very hesitant about buying this dress (if you can find one for sale) when you haven't tried it on.  I am not sure of your budget, but you may be better off finding a salon that sells Atelier Pronovias (the haute couture line) to see if you can find something similar.

I would suggest that you take the photo to your bridal shop and show that consultant what you like about it.  She may be able to find something similar.
Maggie has an excellent point.  You cannot possibly tell if the dress is for you if you have never tried it on.  My daughter was in love with the photo of a certain Maggie Sottero dress.  When she tried it on - eh.  She chose something completely different that wasn't even on her list of favorite dresses.

@CMGragain is right. If that style of dress is what you think you like, take a picture to a bridal store and tell them what you like about it. They can pull dresses that have details that your are looking for.

For example, when I went shopping, I told the consultant that I want a lace dress, needed some type of straps or some that could be added, I liked the trumpet/sheath shape but willing to try on others. I went through and picked out 5 dresses originally and then told the consultant what I like about each one. Then she went around and picked out more and let me try those on. The one I ended up picking was one the consultant picked out for me that I probably wouldn't have picked myself.

My best advice is to be open to styles you may not think you'll like. I tried on a ballgown (mainly for my mom) even though I knew it wasn't me, A-line, mermaid, I even tried on taffetta. And then I picked things from each one that I liked or didn't like to find the ultimate dress I wanted.
