Accessories for this dress?

Hi everyone,

I hope you can help me....

How would you style this dress? I am absolutely rubbish at this type of thing - Any help would be very much appreciated!

Re: Accessories for this dress?

  • I would take your cues from the designers photo of the dress.  You want the dress to make the statement, not your accessories.  So I would keep it simple...stud earrings, a very simple bracelet and, depending on your hair, a nice hair comb.

  • Exactly what Maggie said. The dress has a lot of accessories in itself so it could be really easy to over-do it. I might not even go with a bracelet at all because it might be hard to find something that goes with (without taking away from) the color of the dress and detailing.

  • Gosh that was quick - Thank you!

Studs it is - probably as very good idea considering I haven't worn earrings in over a decade....

What type of veil / or not do you think might be appropriate?
  • I think a simple veil, single layer, with no embellishments would be the way to go. possibly cathedral length since the dress is form fitting and there isn't a long train. Just my opinion though :) Beautiful dress.

I also agree with PP on the accessories.
  • I personally would not do a veil with that dress. Covering up the back of it would be a sin.

But that's me, I don't care for veils anyway. If you want to wear a veil stick with something simple.

If you want to wear a veil then I would go with the advice above (single tiered, raw cut edge, cathedral length).  But a veil is not necessary.  You could always go back to the salon where you bought your dress and try on some veils to see if you like the look with your dress.

  • That's really helpful advice - thank you so much!

Studs and no veil! - This is going to be easy :D
  • If you want to do a veil I would go for a longer one, this way the back details of the dress will show through the veil more. If you go for a fingertip one, it will end right around where all the detail is and hide it.
