Wedding Dress

I got the email that my wedding dress is in!!! It definitely didn't take as long as they estimated, as it wasn't supposed to be in until January.

That being said....My trial appointment is next week. Do I need to take anything with me? Alterations won't be started until summer of next year, so I believe this is just to ensure the dress fits me now and to decide if I will be doing alterations onsite. Either way, not sure if I'm supposed to take anything with me?

Re: Wedding Dress

  • If you plan on wearing certain undergarments I would bring them to see how it lays,

besides that - HAVE FUN! and enjoy the moment!
  • My dress came in super early as well. For that appointment, they just showed it to me, we looked it over to make sure it was okay, and then I could try it on if I wanted (I did).

Then I just signed off that I had received the dress, and took it with me. I hadn't gotten my shoes or anything yet, and those aren't needed until the alterations time anyways, so I wouldn't worry about it.
  • Lucky lady! Go and enjoy the moment! I ordered mine in February and am still waiting to get it! Should be here by the end of the month. If you aren't doing alterations right now I wouldn't think it should matter very much what you take to wear under it until you do the alterations.

  • I think it is mainly to make sure that you got the correct dress in the correct size and that there weren't any issues (rips, pulls, tears, missing embellishment, etc) with the dress.

When I got my dress in (about 5 months before alterations began) I put it on just to check the sizing and because I was ZOMG so excited that I got my dress in!
