My boss is great, very easy to work for.What was your first job and at what age? I have a 4 year old son, and he has 3 boys ages 10, 6 and 4, so we already have a pretty full house. We will have one together, we are praying for a girl! We will probably start trying about 6 months after our wedding. If given the option to be a SAHM, would you take it, or would you rather work? I would love to stay at home, but everyone needs a little adult time as well. That's a tough one...Do you think you will Knot much after the wedding? Nest? Not sure...

About the Couple: How did you and FI meet? We meet in high school in band class.  I played the flute and he played the french horn.  The way the seating was it ended up sitting next to me.  He was in 10th grade and I was in 9th when we first met.What was your first impression of your FI? At first I thought he was some dorky kid, but once I got to know him he became a great friend.  He was the only guy in high school that I was able to share things with and just talk to with out them trying to make out with meWhat do you do with FI in your free time? We enjoy going to the wineries, playing tennis, walking the board walk at the beach, watching movies, going to sporting events and watching the sports on tv.Is there anything about FI that you would change? I would like if he would clean the bathroom.  I know it probably wont happen, but a girl can dream.  How did FI propose? Was it a surprise? It was such a surprise.  He kept telling me that I need to take off of work to relax and go to the wineries with him and just spend the day out there.  He kept acting strange but I just thought it was he was getting a little drunk from the tastings.  Our last winery was Martha Clara, i just so love that place.  It was a rainy day and it actually stopped raining when we got their so we got a glass of wine and went out to sit by the animals.  He got down on one knee and the moment he asked me i just started crying, I just didnt know how to react.  It is the greatest day for me this entire year so far.About the Job: Do you like your job? If not what would you change about it to like it more?   I sometimes like my job.  I enjoy the people I work with.  Is this job what you want to be doing as a career? If not, what would you rather be doing?  I work for a company that does child and parent services.  I'm going in the fall for my masters in General/Special Education to become a teacher.  Do you like your boss? If you could say anything to him/her without any consequences, what would you say? I like my boss, when i first started i really didnt care for her but as time went on i realized she is a great personWhat was your first job and at what age? 15 working at the resturant busing tables at the resturant around the block from my house.About You & TK: How long have you been on TK (lurk time included)? What was your first post? Since I got engaged in May.  This would be my first post.If you could attend any ONE knottie’s wedding... We have talked about this and we both agree on having 2 kids.  He would like boys but i would like a boy and a girl to get the best of both.If given the option to be a SAHM, would you take it, or would you rather work? I dont think i would want to be a SAHM, only because I dont want to waste my education.  My mother worked and i am very independent and like to make my own money and dont want to have to ask my FI.  Do you think you will Knot much after the wedding? Nest?Right now we are trying to buy a nest so i been going on both.

Okay here goes: About the Couple: How did you and FI meet? We were friends during grad school (we both went back as older students) and after knowing one another for about 4 years, started to date (despite what I thought was not the best of ideas). We got engaged about a month shy of knowing one another for 5 years and dating for 1 year. What was your first impression of your FI? Hahahaha. My friend in class said I should get to know him. I thought he was friends with and/or dating and/or married to a weird woman. I thought he seemed nice but never DREAMED he would become one of my best friends, no less my most treasured sweetheart! What do you do with FI in your free time? UGH! Free time??? Well, his youngest son is a high school pitcher so we spend a lot of our "free" time at baseball games. Otherwise, we like to just do whatever we can to enjoy some alone time to talk, think, etc. We love to go to the beach (we went to Robert Moses for New Year's Day) and just walk, talk, go to movies, dinner, spend time with friends, etc. Is there anything about FI that you would change? Oh! Of course!! Wouldn't we all and wouldn't they all??? How did FI propose? Was it a surprise? It was sort of a surprise. I knew when he was picking up the ring and he sent an email the day he picked up the ring saying I should pack a bag for the next day (a Wednesday) and informing me I would not be sleeping at home that night. A lovely dinner at a steakhouse with him nervous as all get out. Planning to propose there but decided there were too many people around. Took me to a lovely room at the Melville Marriot (where we spent a wonderful and romantic Valentine's Day this year) and proposed by writing a proposal in the form of mad libs (he'd pulled out mad libs during a particularly stressful time and planned a whole night during which he told me we were at summer camp). He had me fill in the words and when I finished, he announced that this was my proposal and read the proposal with the words I'd filled in. He asked me to marry him. I said yes. He asked if I wanted to see the ring. I said "ummm Yeah! That's what you're supposed to do next." He showed me the ring. I told him he was supposed to finish off by putting it on my finger, which he did. And, well, the rest is history... About the Job: Do you like your job? If not what would you change about it to like it more? I LOVE my job! I am a therapist and I've worked really hard to be doing what I'm doing in the place in which I'm doing it. I feel SOOO appreciated and SOOOO grateful to be there! My sweetheart also works there (in a different department) so everyone has been so excited about us and now our engagement. They are like family to us. Is this job what you want to be doing as a career? If not, what would you rather be doing? YUP! Do you like your boss? If you could say anything to him/her without any consequences, what would you say? Yeah. She's the best! She was so eager to have me work there. I actually turned down the opportunity at first and she kept after me to get me to change my mind. Very supportive and very knowledgeable. What was your first job and at what age? Oh! I babysat at the age of 11. I worked at Waldbaum's at 16 and was there for about 2 months before I started working as an usherette at the Westbury Music Fair (now the North Fork Theater at Westbury - UGH!!!). About You & TK: How long have you been on TK (lurk time included)? What was your first post? Ummm. Probably a bit of lurk since May but otherwise, really just three weeks. I was on when I got married the first time but that was 8 years ago and things were very different back then. If you could attend any ONE knottie’s wedding... Whose would it be & why? Don't know anyone well enough yet. What is the craziest post you've read on TK? Quotes are always welcome. Nothing too crazy yet. What are a few of your favorite boards? I do love the local board. I'm enjoying learning about all of your experiences and everything you're sharing! Your Future: Do you want children? How many? Do you and FI agree on this? When do you want to start having kids? Yup. At least one (he's already got 3). We have agreed on at least one. I'd love 2 but we'll see where that takes us. Since I'm an older bride (almost 41), we're probably going to start sooner rather than later. If we don't have a biological child (still up for debate), we'll adopt. If given the option to be a SAHM, would you take it, or would you rather work? I would probably work part time from a home office if I was given the option. We both probably would. I'm not sure what our options will be, though. Do you think you will Knot much after the wedding? Nest? Probably not too much as there always seems to be something else to do and somewhere else to go. But I'll certainly offer assistance wherever possible. I won't probably Nest because he's already got a house and I've already got an apartment but you never know...
