Wedding Website Questions

We are putting together a website to list all the details of our wedding and offer guests a digital form of RSVP-ing and contacting us. On one page we have the "wedding events" where we currently just have the wedding ceremony/reception location and times, since we are not doing a rehearsal dinner that is open to everyone (only the bridal party and parents). Should the bridal shower be listed on the website here? If so how would you phrase it so people know it is only traditional (girls only)?
Thanks for the help.

Re: Wedding Website Questions

  • I wouldn't put the shower on the website. Unless you're having a really small wedding, not all wedding guests (or even all the women) will be invited. It's rude to discuss events in front of those not invited, even on a website.

  • ^^ Yup.  Of course, if you really are inviting all the women, then that's fine I guess.

No, it shouldn't be listed. Only those events that everyone is invited to (the ceremony and reception) and that you are hosting should be listed.

Just wanted to verify that you're also inviting the dates of the bridal party members, as well as anyone else that may be taking part in the rehearsal (readers, officiant, their SOs, etc).

  • Another vote for just putting ceremony & reception details. This way if someone isn't invited to one of the other events, there is no hard feelings.

  • Your wedding website should only include information pertaining to your wedding itself.

For events like the rehearsal/rehearsal dinner and bridal shower, unless you are inviting ALL your guests to these events, they shouldn't be on the website and those invited should receive a separate invitation.
