Nevada-Las Vegas

Another transportation question!

As we get closer and closer (6 weeks on Tuesday!) it is the smaller details that are starting to drive us mad :)

There is only us 2 and my fiancé's parents with us on the day. We have spoken to our photographer about timings and where we want to go for photos - mainly the Bellagio, Cosmo, Caesars and the sign. We started to look at limos for transport and also to get me to Caesars for the ceremony - we are staying at the Cosmo. I was going to walk but it's longer then I remembered after checking Google maps.

As our hotel photos are all quite central I am wondering whether to hire a limo to pick me up from Cosmo and take me to Caesars - wait until the ceremony is over and then take us to the sign and then drop us back to start our main hotels tour?

What did you do/are you planning to do if you were staying in a different hotel to where you get married? Did you use a limo just to get around the more central hotels for photos?

I don't know whether to just hop in a cab or Uber to get to the ceremony and sign but I am worried we would be waiting for a while to get one for the two of us and our photographer!

Sorry for rambling, I just wanted to get this all down - thanks all :)

Re: Another transportation question!

  • I would recommend getting a limo to the place that you are getting married, we were staying in Cosmo and married at the Bellagio and we got a limo there as like you say it is further than you think...afterwards we walked around and along the strip but had a limo for later on for photos/going to ghostbar..we used presidential limos xx
  • I agree! Get a limo. I second guessed getting trans for our strip tour as we initially wanted just around Flamingo. Even when we decided further locations, I thought we'd just costs by walking some places. Week before I decided I am doing EVERYTHING I can to limit any possible stressors.
  • I'd definitely go with a limo.  Keep in mind that you can usually get limos from most strip resort cab stands very quickly and they're typically in the $70-$80/hour range, plus tip.  You may be able to just take limos on the fly versus booking one in advance, since booking will often have a price minimum or multi-hour minimum, but it's of course nice to know that it's there and waiting for you.

Married in Vegas - June 2011

  • Thanks all. I think we are going to have a limo for 3 hours - pick me up, wait whilst we get married and have photos at Caesars, go to the sign and then drop us back at the Cosmo for our photos.

Or should I book him for a couple of hours longer and have them take us from hotel to hotel? I just thought it seemed a bit silly considering we only want Venetian, Bellagio and Paris (which is where we would finish because our evening meal is there) and they are all close to each other?
  • Well, the Venetian and Paris are a little over a mile apart.  Cosmo will be a similar distance.  It's certainly not too far to walk ever, but I wouldn't want to do it in heels.  Bellagio, Cosmo and Paris are all pretty close, and I wouldn't limo for that, but Venetian is further than I'd do in my wedding attire.
  • Thanks all, I've been underestimating the difference between hotels again. I think just because it's the 4 of us, we didn't want to spend so much on a limo but what can you do :)
