@wink0erin I feel the same way about DST. Day 1 of going back to standard time actually feels pretty good because I wake up early and feel awake and ready to get things done....and then Day 2 is SUCH a struggle. But over all, I prefer it to be light out in the evenings because that's when I do stuff after work! And now it's impossible to do yard work when we get home or practically anything else outside.

@jenjen047 - It's 3 total: wedding band, engagement ring, and then a 1-year anniversary ring on the outside. Awesome job with the workout! I have completely fallen off the fitness wagon and I'm struggling to get back on. If I'm done at the doctor on time, I'm going to a class at the gym tonight. THAT CAKE THO.

@minskat30 - Oh noooo! My phone shattered earlier this year. I had insurance so I just went through that to replace it. I binge watched Sons of Anarchy. I second How to Get Away with Murder. Also, if you've never seen 24, the first two seasons especially are freaking amazing and addictive. 

@wink0erin - Despite being out late on Saturday, I woke up at 7:15 yesterday and couldn't figure out WTF my body was doing. And then I realized the time change and it made a little bit more sense.

Everyone's Hallowe'en sounds amazing!!

So .... guess who's officially a licensed driver!! ME!!

Took 2 shots to get it, but my arguement is that the computerized version didn't give me anything I actually studied. 1st time with computer - 8 wrong, 2nd time as written - 2 wrong. WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU FFS!

Afterwards we headed to Matt's parents' place to drop off some stuff and then lunch at The Works. Kids from the local daycare were nearby and we basically died of cuteness

Ended up going to the mall since I had to pick up something up for Matt's gift and part of my nana's gift. Decided to gift myself and bought the Tarte "Light of the Party" palette .... it's gorgeous!

Anyways .... Friday night we went to a friend's place for pumpkin carving. This is the 3rd year we've done this, so I guess it's a new tradition haha! Our pumpkin had rotted, so we couldn't. *sigh*

Hallowe'en did nothing. Studied for my exam on Wednesday, watched tv, made some slow-cooker fajitas {the kind going around facebook - if anyone's curious, I made some slight changes and made it better!!}

Sunday Matt took me driving. Apparently I'm not terrible! Oh jeez ....

Ended up meeting a friend for coffee. We don't hang out much, but we try to catch up for coffee every so often.

This week is pretty busy.

Today - course

Tuesday - running over to grocery store to see about printing wedding photos & studying

Wednesday - exam

Thursday - undercut getting buzzed & weekend packing

Friday - leaving at 1:30pm to drive 5hrs for company party this weekend! Still need to find out what to wear ...

Monday already. GAH.

Friday night, H & I drove up to Maine - we got there around 1030pm, everyone was already drunk. I had some wine, hung out for a bit, and went to bed around 1am.

Saturday, H & I met my parents for lunch, which was really nice. My hometown is about an hour away from where we were staying, so they zipped over to see us for a little bit. We went back to the cabin and started drinking. Around 6pm or so, I decided to put my costume on. As I was coming down these stairs:

I missed the first step and legit went headfirst down the stairs. Hint - those logs don't have much give. I honestly thought I was going to pull my pant leg up and there was going to be bones sticking out. It hurt SO BAD. Luckily, everyone took good care of me, kept bringing me drinks & food, and I watched a lot of drinking games from the couch with ice on my leg. My ankle is REALLY swollen and hurts A LOT - I'm debating going to Urgent Care. 

Yesterday we got up pretty early, cleaned up the house, and everyone hit the road. H & I got home about 230, ate dinner at like 4 (damn time change), and I was in bed at 830pm. No regrets.

@swazzle - your costumes were adorable, and Lucy is the best raptor EVER. PS I get to see you again in THREE DAYS.

@jenjen047 - I'll take some of that cake, PLEASE.

@minskat30 - Can I pllleeasseee snuggle with Raj?? I love him so much.

@wink0erin - I hate the time change. The early darkness makes me so sad.

Friday night H had gaming and I knitted. I ... what did I work on? I think I finished the twee rainbow scarf and did most of a posh Doctor Who scarf, but didn't get much done beyond that.

Saturday H and I passed out candy. We had bought candy for 150+ trick-or-treaters at two pieces each, but only 50-55 came through. Ellie-cat sat with me. The childhood kitter fussed for salmon (so I am told and believe after seeing him on Sunday). H and I watched the first three HP movies, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

Sunday we spent the day with my parents and childhood cat. He is very, very thin, but did eat when he was carried to his food bowl (he can walk, to a degree he's probably milking Mom for all she's worth). He proceeded to do a whole bunch of cat-things (licked the outside of a plastic bag, jumped from chair to chair without pausing, tried to eat a cardboard box, etc.). It was comforting to see him acting so "normally," even recognizing what's probably happening. He is comfortable, dare I say happy.

My mom and I blocked two throws and two baby afghans. It was hard to focus much beyond that. My fantasy team got their asses kicked and I lost another player to injury yesterday (Reggie Bush this time).

@goldenpenguin - Another vote for Urgent Care here.  Please go, I wouldn't want something to get worse.  I'll loan Raj to you any day of the week...especially this morning when he caused me to break my phone.  There isn't as much to bark at at my Mom's place so he decides to bark and jump around at....drum roll please...garbage bags.  Yup, garbage is his new enemy.  Good thing he's cute, right?

I was disappointed, also bought 500 pieces of candy and got 20-25 kids. Was giving them by the handful and still have so many leftovers. I wasn't going to dress up as anything and then I was like you know what? I have a really expensive gown just sitting in my closet doing nothing, fuck it!! And I put my wedding gown on to hand out candy. It was so fun wearing it again and twirling around my living room. H thought I was nuts but he loved it. And all the little girls said it was beautiful lol.

Yesterday we lounged around and the tv refused to work, kept shutting itself off immediately when we turned it on. We knew it was 8 years old and time for a new one, so H went and bought the 4k Samsung Smart tv he's been eyeballing. (4k is the picture definition not the price). We watched a movie on it and went to bed by 8:30pm.

@labro Charging guests for food? Uhm, no. That's ridiculous. I wouldn't have gone to that party either. I usually bring my own beer to parties anyway because I'm picky, but food is a vital part of grown-up Halloween parties. LOVE the fancy wine glasses! I kind of want to get a couple fancy glasses for special occasions.

@minskat30 Raj looks so majestic on his new bed! That sucks about your phone. There's a store at the mall here that replaces phone glass, I've never done it but I know people who have.

@jenna8984 People in my area didn't have many kids like previous years either! I hate how new tv's don't last like they did! Our tv is almost 5yrs old and we're saving for a 2nd tv but I feel that's going to be a waste -.-'

@KeptInStitches my FIL's fantasy football team is "dropping like flies" this season {I'm pretty sure he's doing NFL} Glad to hear yours is doing well! I'm envious of your ability to knit. I don't have the patience!

@wink0erin I only had to deal with the aftermath of having to use a freaking pour-over brewer to make hundreds of coffees. Thankfully it was a Sunday and most people were patient.
